Prison justice. Where there's a will, there's a way. I doubt that full staffing would have prevented it from happening, eventually. |
In what I will worry about that is #73 for today list. Oops 75.
When will I have the time? |
No tears falling here. It’s a shame he didn’t get Epstein’d.

Ha. Could have been a hired job. Couldn't happen to a worse person.

Short staffing at any correctional institution is negligence on the part of leadership and a major problem. A corrections officer job is a dangerous and thankless job with hundreds across the country injured and some killed every year. U.S. has the World’s highest incarceration rate. Go figure.

Nassar was first sent to Arizona after sentencing and was attacked there. Sent to Coleman where he would be safer.

Good..sad they wasted medical care on him..

Some are surprised to hear Federal prison staff are considered Federal LEO and can retire with 25 years in or 20 at age 50. Mandatory retirement is 57. I retired from the BOP at 49 with 25 years of service. That was 8 years ago. Nassar is a dirtbag, but his stabbing compromised the safety of staff who intervened and performed life-saving measures. Other inmate's safety was also put at risk. Staff didn't look at Nasser as the scumbag he is...they saw him as a person who might die.

It's a Federal Prison, not a daycare center, there are stabbings once a week in these places that go unreported because they weren't Larry Nassar. For all, we know the guards may have turned a blind eye for the stabbing to happen. He was in so-called protective custody. The Prison staff is trying to capitalize on the media frenzy. Until inmates start escaping on a daily basis they really need to stop the fear-mongering of elderly community residents and go to the folks who are in charge of Federal Prisons. It's just unfortunate they couldn't close the deal. |
Even hardened felons live by a code. Those who abuse/molest children are universally despised by inmates, be it in a Federal or State lockup. Inmates like Nasser will always have a very rough time in prison, until their end arrives.

Agree, but Epstein had way to much damaging info on very influential people with plenty of money that could easly have him rubbed out and still stay 5 layers away from the event.

Another failed suicide attempt. Some people just can't do a proper job.

Wonderful, I hope it hurt. Matter of time before they take him out.

Prison justice. Those who take advantage of young people, particularly innocent young girls, are decidedly unpopular among the long-term inmates. “Unpopular” is not what you want to be in a federal prison. It sometimes takes awhile for prison justice to prevail but prevail it will, many times with fatal consequences.
Whitey Bulger survived several years at Coleman. But then for an unknown reason he was transferred to a federal prison in Hazelton West Virginia. Within a day or two he was beaten with a padlock in a sock to the point that he was unrecognizable. His murder took place beyond the view of TV security cameras. There is a mob hit man suspect, but nothing has been proven. Was the whole thing planned? Your guess will probably be a good one. Prison justice. |
