Leprosy
A recent CDC report indicates that a growing body of evidence suggests central Florida may represent an endemic location for leprosy.

I would like to see a link for that CDC report. World Leprosy Day: Bust the Myths, Learn the Facts | Hansen's Disease (Leprosy) | CDC ???? |
This is what we get for letting any and everything walk into our country without venting them. Diseases, drugs and who knows what else.
|
TB is walking across the border unchecked and bussed all over the country.
Who should we thank? |

Okay. So the panic is out of the way. Let's look at the reality. First of all, the reports I've read. is that central Florida accounts for 20% of all new reported cases in America. Sounds horrible, but Central Florida has a population of 8,359,609 (Wikipedia), and the total number of cases is a whole 181. Put another way, that is 0.002% of the population. "Minuscule" is the word that comes to mind. Second, Leprosy is a CURABLE disease. "The currently recommended treatment regimen consists of three drugs: dapsone, rifampicin and clofazimine" (World Health Organization). Don't know about the rest of y'all but based on that, I'm not quite ready to consider moving to (say) Iceland... |

Must be true -- You know, it's spread by the only other species on the planet that gets leprosy, armadillos!
And get this -- we saw a whole family of them rooting around in our back yard this week in the middle of the day! It probably has something to do with this being the hottest summer in Florida since before dinosaurs roamed the Earth. CO2 levels rise above 0.04% and suddenly we've got Armadillos with leprosy frolicking in Florida on a 100 degree afternoon! It must be a Sign of the End Times! |
And the CDC is the source of all wisdom and truth?

It’s not new to Florida. Armadillos spread it as they pass through your yard. Gardeners are especially susceptible since the contaminates are on the ground. This is according to TV academy wildlife instructor. No biggie though cause it’s curable.

Sorry to inform some of you, but doctors still pay a lot of attention to what the CDC says. It is the world's foremost organization for the collection, analysis, and distribution of data and information on both infectious and non-infectious diseases.
Several posters here prefer to have their political leaders push non-informed pseudoscience. That's your choice. But I guarantee you that you want your doctor reading what the CDC produces when you get sick. Of course you can try ivermectin and rectal lysol if you like when you get leprosy. But never let facts get in the way of a good hatefest. |
Probably brought in by illegal aliens. Leprosy is rampant in India. If it gets into the local armadillo population look out!
|
The CDC is part of the World Health Organization. Need I say more? Would you really go to a doctor who allows himself to be controlled by a blatantly political organization? Not unless you're really woke!

The CDC is now in the same boat as the FBI

"The absence of traditional risk factors in many recent cases of leprosy in Florida, coupled with the high proportion of residents, like our patient, who spend a great deal of time outdoors, supports the investigation into environmental reservoirs as a potential source of transmission."

ANyone else find it odd that we have had a Major testify before Congress that the US Government has collected non earthly biological entities from recovered UAP's, and it is not on every front page. Strange times. |
