Probably Jewelry Design - one on Bichara Blvd and another on Wedgewood Lane

thelegges 09-06-2023 01:06 PM

Any issues with a Rolex needs to go to named Rolex store only.

You find a dedicated trusted watch maker/repair for Piguet, Jaeger, Piaget, Longines or a tag. While I enjoyed my original Mickey watch, nobody will work on inexpensive watches.

A Rolex just for a clean and tuneup starts at $500, but finding a trusted watchmaker is one in a million. I have one in MI, I trust with my fathers Piaget, it will be my grandsons graduation present. No matter what the cost it’s will be priceless when he opens the box. Timeless watches are passed on to generations, doesn’t always have to be new

pvetrano1 09-07-2023 04:37 AM

That's too bad !

pvetrano1 09-07-2023 04:38 AM

You should have worked harder !

I wonder if they are good fixing my Rofex watch. I got such a deal from a guy selling them on the street. 😂

Goodwingle 09-07-2023 06:00 AM

Long time to fix and service

I used them to service my husband's and my Rolex...dropped them off in March. It took about 2 months to get my husband's back. My watch took until August. I am not going to lie I was very upset it took so long. They were telling me another week...another two weeks....etc. They kept on saying they were waiting on a part from Atlanta for my watch. I will say that every time I went up there to check on the watch they had it there. Both watches so far are running properly. They were also very nice but they do need to explain their process and timeline better.

As someone who has used this store many times in the last 20 years, both in their original Bichara Blvd location and later in the Wedgewood one also, both to purchase jewelry and to have them repaired, I would recommend Jewelry Design to anyone who asks. They have always been fair, attentive, and pleasant in their interactions with me. Full disclosure - I have never brought in a Rolex to service, since I don’t own one. But my father did years ago, and loved the service he received. It was because of my father’s recommendation that I started using Jewelry Design, in fact.

First thing I would have done is checked the Rolex website to see who they have listed as their service and jewelry center. Jewelry Design is not listed there. Next I would want to hear from Jewelry Design why they seem to advertise that they are. If I didn’t like the answer, I would address the question with Rolex. What I have found in the past, when I’ve done this with other products, is that the companies tell me they don’t list everyone who is authorized to service their product! I wouldn’t have known that if I had jumped the gun to point an accusatory finger at them without first calling the company.

An AD is more likely to send your watch to a RSC and add a margin on top. You might as well send it to them direct or use one of the highly rated independent repair shops like Rolliworks..

Don't assume that people who own a Rolex are millionaires. Most millionaires are too smart to spend that much money on a watch.

bobmarc 09-07-2023 07:43 AM

I'm surprised a Rolex needs to be repaired. Guess my impression of them was faulty.(as you can tell, I'm not part of the 39% either):evil6:

retiredguy123 09-07-2023 07:55 AM

When I was helping a friend buy an expensive ring, I was surprised that even the supposedly reputable jewelry dealers will cheat Florida out of the sales tax by agreeing to ship an empty box to an out-of-state address to avoid charging sales tax to the Villages customer.

I used Jewelry Design to repair my Rolex and was very satisfied with the work and the friendliness of Jack. He did have to order parts but that did not delay the repair by any significant time.Have recommended him to many friends.

Jewelers

There is also a Bob's jewelry I believe it is behind McDonald's on 441. For some reason they charge $20 for a battery for a watch. I expressed my discern to no avail. Later I bought five batteries from Amazon for less than $3. I just thought this was a little out of sort.

Rolex is on the low end of the spectrum for time pieces. Stainless is a great eveyday watch, nothing special. I value my dads time pieces so much more than my stainless

Standard practice When shopping in Europe, every store offers to ship box and paper work.

Time pieces need maintenance & cleaned. Just like your car need an oil change. always had a storage vault at reputable jeweler for my parent s time pieces.
Safe and convenient

I don't know about Europe, but there is a 7 percent sales tax in Florida that the jeweler is required to collect from a local customer. But, in this case, the jeweler ordered the ring from the manufacturer, and when it arrived, they removed the ring from the box, and shipped the empty box to an out-of-state address, and did not collect any sales tax from the local customer. So, they cheated Florida out of the sales tax by pretending that the ring was sold to an out-of-state customer, when in fact, the ring was actually sold to a local customer.

Used to be a common practice nation wide... But they've changed the requirements to collect sales tax on mail orders, so much of that "cheating" has stopped...

What services have you used Gold in Art for? We're pretty new in TV and I'm looking for a jeweler to service a Tag watch and buy some new jewelry. Thanks.
