Golf cart valance replacement?
2 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know where I could get my striped fabric valance on my golf cart rain enclosure changed out to something like this??
|
If your valence are like ours, they slip into aluminum tracks, real easy to remove or replace. However, finding something like what is pictured may be difficult. I would start with an internet search, possibly amazon and ebay to see what you can find. Double check measurements, and you should be good to go. The only other option I can think of would be a search of would be for suitable (marine grade??) canvas in the pattern you like, and then a shop to fabricate the valences.

Villages golf carts had those on the showroom floor, when we looked last year. As them, I did ask Carts and Clubs if they supplied that product and was told not currently, but that was before the buy out.

Interesting, my initial reply was based on the assumption the OP had checked local golf cart stores. I never noticed anything like this when I went in for parts or service.

Haven’t noticed any sitting outside for awhile. When we showed the pic to C&C, the product was not on their radar. So maybe flash in the pan. One would think if there was an aftermarket dealer out there, they would be advertising weekly. |

I have talked to the at villages carts, and they do not supply these. You have to buy one of their carts. They did give me the name of someone to try, but he never returned my call. I have checked all over the place, and cannot find one like this. I have the heavier snaps on my rain enclosure, and when the sides are down, the wind blowing those snaps/valance onto the roof is extremely loud! Ha ha ha!

We buy all of our carts from C&C since 2010. I am guessing if TV won’t sell separately, then there is a non compete clause with company, so OP maybe at a stand still |
I did an internet search, and it appears you are looking for 'Sunbrella hard valance for golf carts'. There appears to be several patterns, nothing like the ones you posted, however, you may be able to contact Sunbrella to see what is available in custom designs.

Printed or embroidered?

Is that designed printed or embroidered on the material? It's hard to tell from the photo. A custom embroidery shop could embroider the designs on sunbrella material but it would cost a bit to do the entire valance. If it has a hard backing in it, it would have to be printed somehow or embroidered before the backing is installed. |

should have asked the owner of that cart where he had gotten them

The product you are looking for is called EndeavourDek, and it is offered by The Villages Golf Carts as an option on new cart purchases. We have these on my wife's cart, and they are super high quality panels that will stand up to just about anything. The material itself is made for marine decking overlay. The panels consist of two layers: a base color, and an overlay with designs cut into it. The layers are then permanently fused together.
The buyer can order just about any design they want. We supplied the artwork, which is really just a jpeg image, and the company sizes it to fit the panels. Very high quality workmanship. I don't know if The Villages Golf Carts will sell these as a standalone product, but it sure can't hurt to ask. They have samples on the wall, along with color options, at their store in Magnolia Plaza. I believe the company that actually makes the panels is in the Tampa area. Good Luck. |

Yeah, because I was responding to the poster who posted that link to the ugly enclosure. Never said it was what the OP wanted. |
