Have you noticed.....
As some of you know, when I am investigating something, I'm rather thorough. Lately, However, when I ask questions online(not on TOTV), I find my questions are blocked. Am I paranoid? It seems the powers that be do not want to have my question out there? Does anyone else have this problem or do i just have too much time on my hands and my OCD is taking over.....? I feel trapped by this and find the internet isn't all that helpful, just a lot of junk products and everyone is covering up how junky they are? Thoughts? Maybe i just don't know how to google things? I try different wording for exactly what i am looking for......Im wondering if this is related to Net Neutrality...

Hmmm…ask your question here?
Or perhaps to a therapist |
I research stuff all the time, even occasionally use Bing Chat, and have never had a question blocked, so I am guessing it may be the subject matter that you are searching for, or the site thinks you are underage, or something similar.

Online could depend on whose line you are on.
|
Who is doing this and what type of questions are being asked?
|
I would think it depends on your question, just for example, ask something political and watch your post blocked faster than a bullet…

Have never had a question or answered blocked by google, and don’t know anyone who has - and some of the questions have been off the wall. Kinda doubt “the powers that be” as you refer to them are singling you out.

Reddit has over 3 million groups (subreddits) and each group has its own set of moderators. Each of those 3+ million groups have their own posting policies. Many Reddit groups freeze you out as a first-time poster until a moderator can get around to reviewing your first post. There can be a delay between the time you first post and the time your post is visible—-especially for very active groups with hundreds or thousands of daily posts. Some Reddit groups have a ‘bot’ to do some of this work and who knows how they work. Can you give us some example posts verbatim, the related names of the Reddit groups, and whether you are a first-time poster to each of those groups? In giving more context you will get better feedback to what you seem to want from TOTV. |

True for most social boards. If a moderator "has your number" and it becomes personal.........the moderator can become childish and limit your postings. |

There are a lot of new Mods on Reddit - I agree, a lot more being blocked!
|
Reddit and Nextdoor have to be the two most censored platforms.
Most of their mods and workers are college kids based in cities like San Francisco. Actually, Nextdoor is based in San Fran. FB and Instagram aren't much better. I found that since Elon bought Twitter/X it’s the closest you're going to get to free speech. They have specific communities like Reddit but they are so many years behind Reddit’s sub-community. I also find great independent journalists on X that don't have an agenda like the corporate media. |
I have been on TOTV since April and never been "allowed" to post. No reason given. I think as a new member my application was being reviewed. Wonder how long that takes?

Always remember to hit the submit reply button. If you want to start a new topic or thread it is a bit more complicated. Let us know if that is your issue. |
Check for a cheat sheet on Google search tips from your local library or online from a university library. The later publication date, the better as AI is changing even google very fast.
Personally I prefer the search engine “DuckDuckGo” to Google … just an aging librarian who cut her teeth in automation & internet searching |
