The time of year when crap falls from the sky!

I hear ya buddy. Woke up to this today. Wishing we were at our Villages home right about now. Temperature forecasted to hit 20 degrees tonight up here in the hills. The dog didn’t even want his usual walk this morning. Time to bring in some wood and fire up the stove.

Kind of cold here in Lynnhaven but NOTHING like the other Lynnhavens in the US.

Counting the days until we can come back to The Villages. We’re out of town getting our Illinois house cleaned out and sold.

Meanwhile, a friend of mine is keeping an eye on my beautiful house in Florida!

Planning to organize the first annual villages snowball fight.

One of those days. Would very much prefer swimming and golfing in the Villages, but gotta make the best of it anyways.

Boy, I feel so nostalgic reading this thread. I’m a full-timer down here. But then I remember how much I hate the cold! Today the high is 68*, and I’m wondering where my (few) winter clothes are!

Yep, "they" are predicting one of our coldest winters. Still looking forward to global warming....if it ever arrives. Old man winter refuses to be bullied by those pitiful, little Global Warming weenies.:cold: :cold:

I don't know which is worse. Sitting by a fireplace because it is too cold or cranking up the A/C because it is too hot. I am glad our worst weather is behind. Florida is wonderful this time of year.

Hmm in the 40s and put heat on. Might be having this afterall.

Be careful walking & driving on that, especially if it melts a little in the sun then refreezes at night.

Used to love it in TV when temp. dropped to 60f or under.
Locals all stayed home, and golf courses near empty!

No picnic here. Yesterday I had to wear a long sleeve shirt golfing in the morning.

I had to wear long sleeve shirt to play softball this morning. Burrr

Reading your post brought to mind all the mornings I walked through the mush and slush to get to classes at the Univ. of Ill. Next, I read the postings on the topic of Sumter County's property taxes. Both reminded me why I'm so glad to be living in The Villages.

I miss the first snowfall of the year!

It's going to have to get a LOT colder than this for me to turn the heat on. LOL
For the past several years we have had the heat on maybe 2 or 3 times each winter.
Love the days I can have the windows open and not run the a/c.

So pretty! We’re visiting our kids and 2 y/o grandson in SoCal, and we were so hot and dry at the Disney parks the last three days. Also can’t believe how quickly we got used to humidity (moved there just a year ago) because the dry weather here is chapping our lips, and making us extra thirsty, lol.

That’s a home I’d never leave, even for TV. Always wanted a log cabin, but since it didn’t happen here in our SoCal mountains we ended up in TV instead.

Guess we are a couple of wusses, put the heat on early this morning for first time.
