Height might be an issue in some of the older tunnels.

Made by Kandi in China.

Lowes sell carts too

- Two tunnels have a center height of 82"; this cart would have a hard time making it through those tunnels. - Most tunnels have a side height less than 82"; this cart would need to hug the center to make it through those. - Two tunnels are listed with a center height of 70" which is likely a typo since it means I could not walk through them without hitting my head |
Tires do not look like turf tires, so I would expect it would not be allowed on golf courses.

There must be big profit in Golf cars.
I see a another dealership open on 441/27 just south of Walmart. Or check out Hwy 200 in Ocala. I say there's got to be 12-24 cart dealerships on that stretch. |

And serviced by.....???

Only 40 miles on a charge does not sound like very much. You would constantly be worrying about how far you can go.
|
Most of these Coleman products these days are just licensing deals that Chinese companies have made with Coleman to have a reputable banner to sell their products under.
Don't expect the quality or customer service to match any original Coleman product that you bought 20+ years ago. Personally, I would buy a used 5 year old Yamaha cart for the same price as that one, and it will likely last more than 10 years longer as well. |
40 miles per charge won't work if you really travel all around in your cart. Going from Spanish Springs to Southern Oaks (16 miles one way), playing 18 holes, and going back is right at 40 miles round trip. Yes...I go everywhere in my cart...rarely drive my auto inside TV.

Will you be able to get parts in 2 years??? Absolute JUNK. I knew someone who purchased a Coleman 4 stroke outboard motor because it was a COLEMAN. Biggest piece of junk, he wasted his money. Just because it says Coleman doesnt mean it's any good. You would be better off buying a preowned YAMAHA Golf Cart for $7,995.00 It will last forever. |

I've owned stuff from China in the past (loved Harbor Freight so people who have shopped there know what I mean). Stuff is not necessarily bad, the problem is the quality control. Or no quality control. Case in point: about 15 years ago I bought a Wen 10" drill press from Amazon. The price was right: about $100 less than an equivalent-sized press from better-known American manufacturers. Got it, set it up, and it worked flawlessly. In fact it was one of the few tools I sold when I moved here that I got more on the resale than I paid for the tool. But the base had four bolt-holes on the mounting apparatus that didn't line up with the rest of the tool. Before I could mount it permanently I had to bore out those holes so that they lined up. As I said, worked flawlessly, but with quality control that we might be used to, that press if built here would never have made it out the door. |

Iv'e seen the one at Walmart. The rear seat you would need a step to get in it. Lift kit, lug tires, Chinese built, sorry not for me.
|
Only 40 miles per charge? Don't the EZ-GO and Star get about 60?

If you take Chinese out of anything you would likely have nothing. |

Trying to unload Old technology golf carts
It looks like Walmart (ChinaMart) is helping China unload old technology golf carts. These are not built for Villages needs and will end up costing significant money later for accessories and battery replacements.
If you want the flexibility to travel anywhere in the expanding Villages community, it is currently safer to select a gas engine cart for now. The lithium carts are getting better but you will be stuck if the battery runs out while you are traveling long distance to the new areas of the Villages! My gas golf cart goes 300 miles on a tank and I only fill it once a month.. |
We have a 2023 Ezgo Liberty with the tallest roof top that I have seen on Village carts. We have driven through every shorter tunnel in the northern Villages without a problem as long as you don’t drive too close to the walls. If a cart is lifted, then you might want to check the roof height before attempting to go thru those tunnels.
|
Three or four years from now there will be lots of these for sale used at fire sale prices. And if enough people get suckered into buying these, look for a substantial increase in the price of golf cart rescue services.
|
Not just the tires but isn't there a weight and width limit on carts allowed on the course.

Answer to Height Question
1 Attachment(s)
I read every reply so far and nobody answered the height question that the OP posed. Attached is a list of nearly all Villages MMP tunnels and their center and edge heights. There are a few with center heights below 82" and there are many with edge heights below 82"!

Good price $8k...cant tell if it has turn signals.
$8k is what you loose in rapid depreciation on those $23k golf carts :) |
Country Village Power
Country Village Power in Inverness sells new Yamaha Drive 2 Quiet Techs for about 12k. Why buy a Chinese electric cart?
|
Quote:
The advertised Colman cart at WalMart specified it has “off road” tires. It is electric, so it is a heavyweight too. |
