Beware of Solar Trek
People beware of who you hire to do you work on your house.
Solar Trek owned by Patrick Altire send out two employees to my neighbors house to install pool heating system on there roof. The lots are close to begin with and well mark on the lot dividing lines. I ask 7 time to Please keep there activities on the property they are working on. After the 7th time i was told to go "F" myself. The Police were called and they were trespassed off the property. As the deputy's were writing the trespass warning the one individual trespassed right in front of the deputy. To say the least the deputy wasn't amused. After the police left they continued to trespass on the property. After a google searching on both the individuals trespassed, they had records and continuing charges in courts across Florida for Heroin, trafficking, fencing of stolen items, robbery, etc... The owners of these companies don't care who they send and the safety of the communities. Unfortunately my neighbors are elderly and very nice but new to the villages and they think we live in a gated safe community. I tried to tell them its a community with gates and open to every bad behaved criminal to pray on the elderly. Watch out people! |
My experience was different. There were no problems during installation. The system works as expected.

Solar Trekdid a great job at my home and the employees were very nice and courteous. Gave them a very generous tip.
|
Well folks I'm glad you had a good experience i hope nothing came up missing.

I certainly would not want anyone on my property facing criminal charges for Heroin, fencing stolen items or open warrants. Sumter county Sherriff website if full of these people warning the village residents of this. Have a nice day! |
What’s your issue with the property line?? They trying to do a job and you make is as difficult as possible because of a property line ?? What a tool
|
Solar Trek installed our roof system. Showed up on time, did a great job, and were courteous.

We used Solar Trek for a service call. We were very happy with them. They were prompt, courteous and the charge was fair. We would definitely call them again.
|
LOL, Seriously, all they were guilty of is walking across the property line and you started a fight and called the police. Good grief.
|
Certain post here is what i expected , i was just trying to warn people of the bad contractors that work in the villages and take advantage of the elderly.
My new neighbors were very thankful for the information being new to the villages. The same ones in this post with the wise comments are probably the same people that act entitled, what they failed to realize, its all about respect for peoples property. Such a shame! |
Give the guy a break. His property, his stand.
" Get off of my lawn" !!! |

A really good neighbor would have worked with their elderly neighbors to get their job done quickly. A true neighbor would have allowed the workers access to get at the job easier. How can you know what criminal records people have. You can't even know workers names. I think this is all made up to scare elderly villagers. Shame on you.

Do all retirees deserve "sophisticated crime deterrence equipment?" What about those workers who happen to have black marks on their record? Do they deserve to live in safety when they retire? Are you going to pay for it? By the capitalization of DESERVE, it sounds like that entitlement attitude that plagues The Villages. |

Here it is: https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...ml#post2229179 Chellybean Good luck in finding one. I would search on google for the owners name. They are not regulated by DBPR. my neighbors 4 out of the last five they had were convicted felon's and one served repeated jail time over 20 year period. Install some cameras also. |

..........As to who pays for it ......we all do. For example, we go out to a restaurant that pays RENT to The Villages Management and Ownership. The residents then EXPECT that part of that money would be funneled back into Police patrols and state-of-the-art crime prevention equipment. I don't see any big mystery in "Who pays for it?" |

........Basically, the fewer lawn maintenance people from outside The Villages, the better. I would also suggest that more rock yards be allowed (and ENCOURAGED) because that would decrease water usage and there would be less fertilizer usage, which would help keep the lakes cleaner instead of the yucky green color they currently have. |
