Predicting The Next Complaint
I’m predicting that the next complaint posted on TOTV will be about the POA littering our driveways with their rag.
Any other predictions? |

I'm going to go with "can't get a golf tee time". It's all the rage on the other site right now. |

It's the one from Lady Lake I hate - the editor is obviously only running the "paper" to spout his far right views to everyone. He must have money to waste! His are certainly unsolicited and I have been unable to stop them, despite asking several times. |
One has the availability to opt out of print thrown on their driveway

(sorry, it's 4:30 AM, I'm on a cruise ship and on my second cup of coffee, I couldn't resist...) |

Long lines in restaurants. TRAFFIC!!!!!! 'Tis the season for all three. |
They are still paving Rt44 and sidewalks are still not open. returning after 6 months though this might have been completed by now.
|
The sidewalks are open, I saw two golf cars driving on them Sunday afternoon. At least someone is using them.

Someone will complain about how low the water levels are in water features. Well, maybe not the golfers….

Rag?

I think the POA Newspaper is very valuable and offers the only alternative to the Developer point of view. Just would like to opt for an electronic copy. The only "Rag" I don't subscribe to is the The Daily Sun |

After Christmas, with a full house, definitely T times will be an issue.
Towards end of January, early February, without a doubt, poor golf course conditions. Dog poop, roundabouts, waiting times/lousy food in restaurants are certainties. My own personal complaint is those who "could care less" do not state the percentage they "could not care less." As for their, there and they're, don't get me started! :icon_wink: |
The poa has done some good things. Years back they got a 15 million dollar settlement from the developer for upkeep of rec centers. Hoa is developer backed and never has a bad thing to say. They do have good clinics and social events.

I did this a while ago for my home. Follow this link. You will need to create a Guest account, and update your delivery preferences: POA of The Villages | Property Owners Association of the Villages Note: I am not a member of the POA. And yes, the paper is delivered each month to almost all the homes. $$$ for the publisher. Yes many homes have their residents away, and the paper lies on the driveway for days, weeks, or months. |

How about..."I'm so ticked" they closed the movie theatres"?? We haven't had many of those lately.
This thread though has given me so chuckles this morning. Laughter is THE best medicine for not complaining!!! |

What happened to the stickers on the mailbox complaints? That was a good one!
|
It's been years since we saw a "seat saving at the town squares" thread
|
Sure they do. It just goes by a different name.. ARC or CDD compliance.
|
It interesting that in the summer all the "snowbird" violations still happen. ie. Bad driving, drunks, accidents, perps, dog poop, etc.
|
Very much like the POA paper I can walk to the driveway to get it. POA is a valuable resource fair & honest
