Plumber reccomendations(?)

I did a search and the most recent ones are 4-5 years old.

Simple job(s) of cleaning drain traps and possibly replacing the plastic push pull valves in two bathrooms.

Cleaning the drain traps is a DIY job I would normally do.....I just can't get down that low anymore or contort the body (as required).

So looking for a good plumber with good reputation and reasonable pricing......after 20 years here I understand jobs can swing by significant amounts of $$$ depending who is doing the quoting.....

I usually do multiple quotes for projects....not sure these simple/small tasks need to be multiple quoted...

For the drains, I just did my own, liquid plumber, followed the directions and drains flowing like new. As for the pop on/off valves, I would not replace unless you are having problems. If the valves are turning OFF, check your expansion tank it has probably failed. The simple test, tap on the side of the tank, below the weld the sound should be dull, above the weld it should be sharp like a bell.

I had a very good experience with Dunstan and Sons when they replaced the shutoff valve on my rental.

Dunstan and Sons hands down.

bille...you don't need the expense of a plumber. A good handyman can do these jobs at quite a bit cheaper

I've used both and both are good. I have a "slight" preference for CPM.

It's been over a year, but we used Roger Pearce, (352) 572-8954 to replace a water heater and he did a great job.

I did and I agree.
I am unable to bend down/kneel and work at ground level/inside a cabinet (anymore).

Note that you probably have about 12 of the push-pull plastic valves in your house. I have had no problems with mine.

For a TV, you want to use these. Never use just a screw because it will rip out. You want to hold the TV's weight, plus be able to hold if someone runs into it, if there are odd forces from cleaning it, or someone grabs onto it by accident.

I am happy to recommend Pro Plus Plumbing LLC for a water heater replacement. Had ours replaced 2/16/24. Installed as promised on schedule, for cost quoted with good communication throughout the process.
