No Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Football game on regular TV just on Peacock.
Well, that is a crock of.....

Gators is claiming on FB to have ALL the games this weekend. Should be a busy night for them.

May be a lot of disappointed "Swifties".

The Weather Channel has a reporter there. He was interviewing some of the tailgaters already in line. He will probably show the weather there in KC tonight. |
Bills vs Steelers game has been postponed to Monday in Buffalo. As far as I know, Chiefs vs Dolphins is still a go on Peacock.

All these pay per view programs.
Makes you want to use a good VPN, download a naughty app. and "Buy me a Coffee!":icon_wink: |
Hopefully, the national viewership ratings will de dismal to discourage this in the future. Unfortunately, like it or not, streaming is the future and there will be no hiding from it. Being a sports fan, and wanting continued access to my favorite sporting events, is the hardest part of cutting the cord.

Many Amex cards have an offer for a free month of Peacock. Check your card. Sign up then cancel

Same here. I'm on the fence on cutting the cord but not sure how much sports I'll loose. |

NFL Sunday ticket is available with YouTube TV and gives you more football than you have now. Amazon Prime and Peacock are available with streaming for the few "streaming-only" games the NFL has now. It looks like there are MLB and NBA packages similar to NFL Sunday Ticket and ESPN+ is advertising NHL games. suppose.tv can help you see what packages are required to get the channels you want along with their price. |

I cut the cord didn’t like it most programming was delayed and the nickels and dimes adds up. |

It only cost $6 to watch the game (commercial break right now)-You sign up for Peacock at $5.99 a month and it's cancellable anytime without penalty. You just can't forget to cancel it. Which I'll do immediately after the game- looks like KC has it under control at 19-7 with 3 minutes left in the third quarter.

Check into Deja vue plus. 30.00 a month and no contract. Cancel at any time. The last time I was at The Markets at Marion there was a vendor with all the information and he had the Amazon fire sticks for sale. He was also connected to the internet so you can see how it works. You can also go to dejavueplus.com to order. |

If you have T-mobile, they provide Peacock for free. |
I'm done
That's pretty much it for me. I'm done with the NFL. Sometimes I am embarrassed even sitting alone watching a game and have to watch all the silly dancing and celebrating. First it was the national anthem, then having the players girlfriends, and now this. Goodbye NFL.

Bally Sports
While everyone is complaining about 1 game, I don’t see complaints about local baseball and hockey are on Bally sun which is 30 dollars a month for two teams. MLB blacks out both Tampa Bay and Miami like you can watch on local network. Same all over the nation
|
It was on nbc in Miami and KC. Use a vpn
|
Except for a few football games, why would I want to subscribe to Peacock?

We have something called 247Sports. It cost something like $30/quarter and no contract. We got it mainly to watch the Steelers, but it has all sorts of sports on it, and all the teams. Last night we watched the game on it. As far as I know, it's legal.
As for the poster who mentioned NFL Ticket, that is uber expensive. |
I kind of liked watching the game with very very few commercials.
|
Amazon then Comcast. Can Disney be far behind? Streaming subscriptions seem to be in our NFL future.

How do I cancel my Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus plan? I found a way to watch Peacock for free. But the game was lousy, but I enjoyed the challenge of watching the game without using my credit card. |

I watched on the Miami NBC feed using my IPTV provider on my lanai TV while it was very cold last night. I felt like I was experiencing the same bitter cold as the fans in KC.

Peacock money-grab....
Really ****ed off with the Peacock money grab for the Chiefs game. We have Roku, and paid for an NFL subscription so we could get the games. Clicking on the NFL icon from within Roku pushed us to Peacock for another $7 to watch the game. Like someone said .... what a crock. (And even though we pay for the NFL monthly, someone "up there" decides what games I can watch. Discovered a work-around by switching my VPN access to a different part of the country - and voila! - the game I want to watch. The run-around big brother gives us..... <grrrr>)
|
I could have paid the $6 but I knew I'd be asleep by halftime. Active Senior Priorities!

Look for this type of programming to continue in the future. Make no mistake, this game switch to Peacock was a test...by both NBC and the NFL, to see if people would bite on what was basically a pay-per-view playoff game. The results are in, and the Chiefs vs Dolphins game was the highest live-streamed sporting event ever on a pay channel in the USA. It was also the largest internet event ever, consuming 30% of the internet traffic during the game. I guess a whole lot of people just couldn't say no.

It was a test by NBC to see if fans would become subscribers. It's not clear how that worked out. The claim is that 23M watched the game but not all of those were new subscribers. In 2022, there were about 30M viewers for the wildcard games. Is 23M a good number for NBC since some (probably large) portion of those were new subscribers? Or, did they pay a lot of money to attract 20% fewer viewers than last year? |

Peacock
Watched at a friends house who will cut Peacock ASAP. I am pretty sure that at least 50% of those who watched it will cut the peacock. Although some did get it with their regular cable subscription Xfinity especially.

Got a free year of Peacock staring last month with my Golf Pass membership. Not a bad streaming service, since they run all the commercials at the beginning. Just put it on mute for 3-4 minutes, come back and watch uninterrupted
. Football game? Did not watch. Not interested. |
