The TV Reacher Alan Ritchson - Wikipedia is how I had pictured Reacher even though I did like Tom Cruise in the role in those two movies.

Tom Cruise should never been cast as Reacher, should have just stayed on MI.

I like Tom Cruise. Seems like a nice guy. Lee Child liked when he was cast. I think the guy in Shane, Alan Ladd, was very small so they had to film him around much smaller doors.

Read all the books and imagine Reacher as a 6 ft 6 250 pound guy as described by Lee Child. That aint Tom Cruise

True. But his character was unstoppable in the Jack Reacher movies with Tom Cruise.

There will be a season 3, yes. Terrific show. Alan Ritchson is much more believable as Reacher than Tom Cruise. Ritchson is a big guy.

Loved Season 1. Just recently watched Season 2 ep 1 & 2.

Here's the thing, I never read the books so I had no preconceived notions about what Reacher looks like...and although I think Tom Cruise is a bit of a nut..... I loved him as Reacher. I like him better than the 6 ft 6 250 pound actor who plays him now.

Special Forces has individuals of all sizes and most people understand they can take care of any situation. Air Force Pararescue are all sizes and they carry 250 people out of danger. Tom Cruise was fun to watch.

I have heard from various sources that he is a nice man. He did jump that couch but if I had been dating the woman he was I probably would jump a couch too.

Like Ritchson as Reacher...and liked both series but would pick Season 1 as better of two.

I would pick Season One as more entertaining as well.

Binged season 2 yesterday and liked it but I agree I liked first season better.

Same issue with "Interview With the Vampire" - Lestat was a physically imposing man, son of a lesser noble. He was always outdoors doing a lot of physical activity and hunting - Tom Cruise just didn't fit the mental image that Anne Rice created.

Reacher is my favorite series in long time. He likes Pie!

Ya, that part cracked me up. The pie and the Clark bars. Pretty sure no one who eats pie and candy bars looks jacked like Allen Ritchson.
