Co-workers, friends, family and I have bought 90 tickets for tonight's Lottery (worth 330M+). If, no, when we win, I will be taking the next flight to Florida and never look back. See you soon :laugh:

All eight neighbors on our block on Kincord Court chipped in for a years worth of tickets. It is worth the $118 for a dream. Hey, you never know!

That is an interesting question. I'm happy to report that there is little I would change; these senior years are the happiest for me. One thing I would do is open a sanctuary for abused animals, cats, dogs, birds, whatever. My current home is the perfect size, just room enough so it's not a burden. I wouldn't be happy with help; well, I take that back. Having my food prepared by a chef and delivered daily (don't mess my kitchen) would be utopia. Hey, now that I think about it I've already hit the jackpot.:thumbup:

If you won this lottery, you could give each person in The Villages a little over $4,000.

What would life be like, winning that kind of money. You could spend $100,000 per day for the rest of your life and never invade the principle. Your children, their children, their children, their children, their children would live in absolute wealth.

Actually it's a little scary - I saw a program about lottery winners recently and it's true you can't buy happiness.

But you can suffer in comfort!!

There are several stories of people who couldn't handle being instantly wealthy as there were many people who felt their were entitled to share such as family, friends, etc.

If one could remember this, "SAY NO". i certainly would like to be in a position to try my theory.

Health and happiness go hand in hand. I don't believe you can be truly happy unless you have your health. Money is not everything. As long as a person has enough to live comfortably with their loved ones.

Don't forget to stop by and pick up your new BFF on the way to The Villages. I'll be packed. :)

Yup - I agree. Suddenly, everyone would want to be your friend - kinda like having your first car in high school.........only on a much different scale!

I'd open that sanctuary too, definitely! Yea! Some others on this board would too. (K9-Lovers and Nonie come immediately to mind.) You-know-who probably wouldn't, although I suspect him of being a closet animal lover, so you never know.

That is an option - of the $355 or so Mil over 26 years it would be a one time pay out of around $224 mil. You would net out after Fed taxes (no state taxes applied) around $170 Mil at 25% taxes.

Where would you deposit the check without fear that it would be mishandled?

Can you buy tickets for the Mega in Florida? Here in Ohio we can buy both and the drawing is the top topic on the local news. Problem is the odds are 1 in 175 million
(((56!) / ((5!) * ((56 - 5)!))) * 46 = 175,711,536) to hit. I can't even hit the Ohio Rolling Cash 5 for $ 100,000 (starting pot) those odd are 1 in 575,757. Oh well when it get over 300 mil you gotta try and my tickets are sitting right in front of me.

Gee... and I was worried that I'd have trouble meeting people when I move to TV. It's nice to know I'd have so many friends... and family I never knew I had.

Would I leave TV? No. I might buy a bigger house though. Or maybe two houses.

Well, we weren't even close - there go all my new found friends and family. I guess it's back to Plan A - sell house, retire, buy house in TV and move - not as exciting, but I'll get there eventually. Then again, if there is no winner tonight, there is always Friday...

Now the one set of numbers that we will never see is how much was taken in for last evenings drawing on a state by state basis.

Bought my first lottery ticket ever on Tuesday. Thought, what the heck, you can't win if you don't play and it's just a buck. I got 1 + Powerball number, for a grand prize of $3.

Hey that's a 200 percent return on investment. :laugh:
