Bomb threat.
 

Per Sumter County Sheriff: Dated July 3rd at 14:17.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office has received third party information in reference to a bomb threat at the United Health Group at the Lake Sumter Landing. The buildings are being evacuated and the scene is being secured, bomb dogs are en route. Please avoid the area.

There is no additional information available at this time, we will update when we have more information available.

Scary.

Sounds like some employee in the area wanted an early start to their 4-day weekend.

The scene has been cleared. No explosives per Sumter County Sheriff.

Wonder why it's not running on, a banner at the bottom of the screen, on the VNN TV channel ? Oh, maybe that would not be good for sales to let folks know of any (possible) danger, or weather threats, escaped convicts, or other such ?

I couldn't even find it in a google search under "Sumter bomb" and clicking "news." The only recent reference was one at a school in Wildwood, this past March.

I didn’t know there *was* a VNN TV channel. How does one find this?

Right there in today’s, July 4th, Daily Sun.

It was all over The Paper That Shall Not Be Named, probably less than an hour after the first report.

If it reflects negatively on TV, that paper will run it. Exhaustively.

Find whoever did it and make sure the punishment fits the crime
