Any suggestions on which to watch?

Hill Street Blues

or

L.A. Law

thank you..........

Stu from NYC 07-08-2024 10:42 AM

Watched the first two episodes of LA Law this past weekend and liked them. Did remember more than I would have thought from years ago.

If I can get my wife more interested we will continue to watch. Wonder if we would like to see Hill Street again.

Boston Legal started off in outstanding fashion but toward the end got very weird and to us unwatchable.

Suits was an outstanding series

JohnN 07-08-2024 12:05 PM

or White Collar , Burn Notice

Suits also went downhill rapidly when Patrick Adams left the show. MM was ancillary anyway, IMO.

But it's hard to run any series more than about 4 seasons before it starts getting stupid as the writers run out of material and start to jump the shark.

Having said that, the OP didn't ask about any of the shows subsequent posters mentioned. I"m not sure why people can't answer any given OP without straying off-topic. So to the OP: Both LA Law and HS Blues were excellent and are both worth your time, but if I had to pick just one, HSB is better IMO, but it is also older, so expect some time warp.

For better or worse people try and be helpful with other suggestions. I for one are happy they do so as many suggestions have merit

Justified. Great show.

We LOVED Justified! But in answer to the OP’s question, both coach.

FFlank 07-08-2024 08:03 PM

Hill St Blues. Great show.

badkarma318 07-09-2024 12:27 AM

Between those two choices, Hill Street Blues.

Bonus: The original Hawaii Five-0 (1968-1980).

Hill Street Blues. BOTH are good. LA Law is more dated than HSB - but it filled me with nostalgia (styles, trends, slang).

I am watching Blue Bloods with the hope I finish by the series finale.

airstreamingypsy 07-09-2024 07:11 AM

I loved both, they are very different..... Hill Street is gritty, LA Law is fun. Another great series is St. Elsewhere.

TomPerry 07-09-2024 07:15 AM

Midsomer Murders great series, but brace yourself, 24 Seasons!

Professor 07-09-2024 07:35 AM

Hill Street Blues!

All network shows suck. If you want cop shows watch, The Wire and The Shield.

Regorp 07-09-2024 09:07 AM

Law vs blues

Think we will give St Elsewhere another try soon

Davonu 07-09-2024 10:14 AM

We’ve latched on to White Collar recently. Excellent.

Definitely White Collar!

collector0915 07-09-2024 05:28 PM

LA Law by far. There is more depth in the characters.

Either one but if you want only one, LA Law.

Rustyboy 07-10-2024 04:44 AM

I recommend NCIS and the FBI series. Bothe excellent shows with new shows coming out continuing the series.

Bwanajim 07-10-2024 07:10 PM

Most of the newer series have become woke like law and order. I love watching the old series like Rockford, Miami Vice and a few others.
