Golf cart help

Good morning, I recently purchased a 2024 Quiettech.
The side mirrors will not stay adjusted (moving around on bumps or in the wind)
Does anyone know how to tighten them?

Underneath. Mine is where the mount connects to the mirror.

Wenham 09-07-2024 07:33 AM

Thank You, I will try that right now

Thanks again, it is kind of a weird design having to use tools to adjust the mirror.
Very inconvenient when my wife drives.
Oh well

Oh well

should not need tool to "adjust mirror".

don't over tighten it............should be snug, but yet able to adjust mirror.

Mine has a nut that needs to be tightened

yep, me too

but it's not a normal nut to tighten

the nut pulls down the bolt to snug up the base off the mirror against some rubber.

but if you're happy, all good.

Wenham 09-07-2024 08:05 AM

Do you tighten yours by hand?

dewilson58 09-07-2024 08:06 AM

wrench, but hand

it's a fine line how tight

Wenham 09-07-2024 08:07 AM

Understood

First, I would go back to the dealer and have them look at the mirrors, and if that does not work, several of the above comments are suitable. I have had to slightly modify some mirrors that would not hold position the adjustment was either too loose or too tight. I found that taking the mirror apart and installing peel and stick felt pads worked very well.

Its a common issue and simple fix, Most mirrors are 10 or 12 mm nut right under the mirror, A deep socket and 30 seconds of your time and its fixed. Just have to make it snug so you can still adjust. super simple fix.

I wish I'd said that.

This is a known issue with these mirrors. If you can't get them to stay in place have them replaced. If you bought it at VGC you can probably have it done under warranty.

Take it back to dealer!

They shouldn't do that. If you purchased from a dealer, it's under warranty so you can take it back and have it fixed.

10mm socket

Get a wrench and turn clockwise.

There are adjustments made to the friction of the joint that allows for movement. when you tighten that adjustable screw or nut than the effort to move the and alighn the mirror so that it stays in the location anyone who drives the vehicle can move it where it suits them.

Rwirish 09-08-2024 08:40 AM

Had the dealer do this and the mirror still moves around.

If your mirrors are the type that have the turn signal in them, you need to be careful tightening the nut. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to tighten ours and broke the wire to the signal. Now that we have it fixed, I will only use a socket to tighten them.
