That awesome feeling
Do you know that awesome feeling when you get into bed, fall right asleep, stay asleep all night and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day?

Haven’t had that feeling in 40 years
|
Just had that type of night, but it is rare. Usually toss and turn an average of 22 times (seen from a Fitbit I wore for a week).

I take 2 L-Thiamine (natural enzyme in the body that relaxes you), and 2 magnesium glycinate. Once in a while I will add a melatonin (10 mg) but if I use it too much it gives me a headache. I’ve tried a lot of supplements for sleep and this combination seems to be the only thing that works. I even tried several CBD made for sleep and none worked on me.

This is what happens when you stop shooting heroine...err...I mean get old.
Stop eating plants including alcohol, plant oils and caffeine. |
Getting up to pee is almost a relief from the constant flipping back and forth from the pain and numbness in my hips and shoulders. I don't think I've slept straight through the night in 10 years. Xray says a minor case of arthritis. Doctor says I'm just getting old.
But here's the weird part. I caught a virus at a truck stop in Missouri, coming home from seeing the kids at Christmas. Some moron in pajamas and a parka, with snot dripping down her nose, felt compelled to drop by McDonalds and sneeze all over everybody in line, while her husband was filling the car. I've been sick ever since, and finally just this week, I'm feeling well enough to venture out in public again. The weird thing is, it somehow cured my arthritis. I still have to get up to pee, but my bed is no longer a torture device. I'd offer my cure to others, but sorry, I'm long past the sneezing stage. But it sure is strange. Somebody should study the "Missouri Virus"! |
