Probably. I rarely have gone onto TikTok. Maybe if someone on Facebook or Talk of the Villages mentions something on there, I might check it out.

I've never Tic-Tocked. So I don't know what I'm missing.

You can look up what/who came up with the legislation to ban tiktok in the first place, if you've forgotten. Discussing it here is an infraction of the rules though.

But the tl;dr summary: it's all politics.

I'm surprised since it obviously makes a lot of revenue, why this country hasn't started its own version of TikTok.

Tik Tok is privately owned ... as are it's 15 or so competitors.

If you're looking for an alternative, try Triller .... or, Clapper, which is more geared towards an older generation.

Yes, interesting who started the ban on TikTok and who amazingly saved TikTok, which was offline for several hours only. It’s up and running like nothing happened. Ironically, it’s the social media app I prefer the most.

Don't be surprised if your grandkids call up asking you how to use Facebook again.

Also, remember the final scene in the Truman Show where all the addicted viewers went right back to their 'normal' lives.

I never had anything to do with Tik Tok due to its links with Communist China. China should NOT be allowed to manipulate young Americans in any way. I would not have a problem with the site if it were US owned. As it is, there is too much potential for propaganda. The Supreme Court even upheld the ban that CONGRESS placed on Tik Tok. One of the better decisions by the Supreme Court.

Many thousands of Tik Tokers went over to Red Note app. which is 100% Chinese state owned and regulated.
