Dentist/orthodontist recommendations
 

Good morning,

I have searched the medical & general forums for dentist/periodontists/orthodontists.

I've had some success, however; many are dated and I am looking for a periodontist, orthodontist, and/or dentists that have dental hygienists on staff, and also do implants and implant restorations, etc.

I would greatly appreciate any personal recommendations for the above services. I would prefer not to go to a general dentist for teeth cleaning and x-rays, and then have to go to another professional for implant related services.

This forum has been a great help for past recommendations and I look forward all of your personal experiences so that I can start my dental affiliation as soon as possible.

You may have trouble finding a dentist who will clean your teeth and who also does implants or even root canals. Implants and root canals have become specialties.

I use Dr. Chris Lunsford in Leesburg. He is an excellent dentist, but he doesn't do implants or root canals.

We use Dr. Jad Jaffal. I just had an implant today. Very good office, and fine oral surgeon, but always be prepared to have to wait. The office is always very busy. Highly recommended.

We use Baylee dental for over 10 years, very pleased with the practice, they have recently expanded their services, you can see if they would be suitable for your needs, not sure if they do root canals but they do a lot of other work.

Thank you...I have heard the same from others as well...

Dr. Novak at Bushnell Family Cosmetic Dentistry is the best. (I have this from the UF Dental school whose dentists have looked at my x-rays and declared his work to be excellent.) He does extractions, grafts, crowns, implants (I have several), cleanings, etc., plus he has a specialist who comes in to do things like sinus lifts. For root canals he sends his patients to an endodontist. I don't know about periodontal work.

He is a very ethical person; will not try to upsell. His technicians are great, and other staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about financing and filing insurance claims, etc. They are always on time.

We recommend Main Street Dentist in Leesburg. Dr. Stephen George but all dentist there are good. No up selling. Profesional and can provide all services onsite.

I use Dr. Dennis Davis. No complaints.

I cannot sing their praises too high. They do great work and the atmosphere generated by the physicians and staff is Villages-Friendly. They are great and do great work.

I have been going to See Reddy for 5 years and had bone grafts, implant and periodontal cleanings every 3-4 months there. Cannot express how Happy, Satisfied I am with my care there, other than to say he is exceptional. His office staff and hygienists also excellent!

If the office is very busy, then they are over booking their schedule. My Max wait time is 15 minutes at which point I usually tell the desk that like in college if the professor doesn’t show up, the class is officially considered canceled. I’ve never been billed for walking away from an appointment where they did not meet their obligation. If more people did this these 45 minute waits would end really quick.

Call Dr. Kevin Wallace: (352) 259-0822. He has been our Dentist for 15 years, since moving to The Villages. He and his Staff are excellent. He is very professional and very patient and caring. The practice is called the Marion Dental Group. The office is on 441.There are 6 or 7 Dentists in the Practice. So, if Dr. Wallace is not available-- you should be able to see one of the other Dentists. For Root Canal needs-- you need a specialist, an Endodontist. Dr. Wallace will advise you as to who to use. If you think you need a Root Canal, let Dr. Wallace confirm that diagnosis. As for an Implant-- Dr. Wallace will refer you to an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist (they are allowed to handle Implant work). The Oral Surgeon I used for Implants is Dr. Ronald Trevisani on 441 (near Sam's Club). He is very good. Dr. Wallace will coordinate everything for you (similar to a Case Manager). It is important to see Specialists, when possible-- as they are experts in one's specific Dental or Medical needs.

My almost 30 year daughter just finished orthodontic treatment with Wollenschlaeger Orthodontics in Leesburg and was thrilled with the practice and results. They are perfectionists. Used the 3m equivalent of Invasalign. Wollenschlaeger Orthodontics (352) 787-6800

Great implant and general dental office
 

I just had the best dental experience of my life. I needed a full set of implants and decided to go to Ocala Dental Harmony due to their experience and great approval rating. Dr. Nakarmi and his staff were wonderful to work with. The process took six months and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I would recommend them for all of your dental services.

I've personally found the last place I want to have dental work done is a dentist that rushes people thru like cattle because you later find out why you end up with more problems.

I recommend this group as well.
