Palmer restaurant

Went to Palmer Legends for a couple drinks and noticed they have all new bar stools around the bar. Happy hour 1-4 have the lowest drink prices I have noticed. Draft beer $2.50, Jack and Coke $4.00. After happy hour prices exactly doubled.:bigbow::bigbow:

Thanks for the info, great to know. I feel kind of embarassed that it's literally the closest place to us and we still haven't gone there yet. Once our house is put back together, we will have to give it a go.

I like Fenney Grille. Everything is half price during happy hour, no restriction on brands.

Their food menu has increased in price. No more bar menu.

It makes sense because the owner of Lopez now owns Palmer.

Dined there last night, with out of town guests.

Bummer.

Wild Muchroom Chicken was way over cooked and very tough.t

Salmon was okay, but all the flavor was coming from the crusted nut coating.

Pork Chop was just plain bad.

Embarrassing.

Thanks for your review - Palmer wasn’t good prior to the Lopez folks taking over, and I had high hopes that they would turn this place around.

Lopez, and to a lesser extent Havana, are the only two CCs in my opinion that are consistently good. The rest, it depends on the day you visit and what you order.

& it was all my fault........................prior to going my Bride asked, "should we go to Havana or Palmer?"

A swing and a miss.

My general rule is the country clubs are good for lunch. It’s hard to mess up a burger or a salad.
I dont think I’ve eaten dinner at one for 3 years, it was Havana.
Had lunch at Palmer two weeks ago, it was decent.

I think the question should have been “Palmer or Lopez”. Nancy would have had my vote.

Can’t miss if you don’t swing, it happens.

Had dinner at Palmer last Saturday. It was the first time I'd been there in years. I have been boycotting the place due to their surcharge on credit cards.
I was pleased to find out that the surcharge no longer exists and the dinner was fine. I hadn't heard about the owner change. I'll be back.

Lunch menu

Was there on Tuesday and hostess said they had new lunch menu. Checked it out and they do have some changes. Burgers got cheaper and pick two for lunch was $13.00

Food posining

We ate there on Saturday after golf, and both of us got extremely sick. Not good. This isn't the first time getting sick at one of the 'Brothers' restaurants.

You should report the matter to The Florida Department of Health at 850-245-4444 or via the internet at this LINK. They will take appropriate action.

It's the only way problems like this get corrected. Let us know the outcome here.

Night and day too. Fenney is way better than the old culture Palmer.

Oh the charge is still there, you just don't see. As more change their menus I suspect the reprinting will include the surcharges.

Boycotting is a funny thing, if the place has good food and service the only people missing out are the boycotters. Doubtful your business will be missed but the boycotters will feel better.

I called Palmers and they told me that they had eliminated the 3.75 percent credit card surcharge. Now, there is no surcharge. Are they lying?
