If someone offered you $2.6 million dollars if you stayed on the green on 17 at TPC but you owed them $50,000, if you missed, would you take it?

I've played that hole 3x, twice on the green and once in the bunker. I'd take that bet in a heartbeat. (on a calm day)

Can we be partners if you win? If you do not make it I would be out.

Looks to be between 128 to 137 depending on the tee box.

I would totally take that bet if it’s sequential. ie. If I miss shot 1 owe $50k. I continue to shoot. Each miss another $50k lost. But, but when I get one on the green I get the $2.6M and owe the $$& balance of my previous losses. I’m a crap golfer but I would take the shots at that yardage 135 yards, probably a 7 iron, and hope to land softly. Heck, I’d do it for $500K. Get 1 of 10 shots. But at the 9th shot I’d change my shorts to Depends.

I've played in only once, stayed on the green and made par. So yes I would take the bet.

I got good advice from my caddie the one time I played it, which is to under club the hole rather than over club it. That goes against your intuition and fear of the water, but I guess balls roll off the back more than the front.
