Crash on B/V north southbound

Somebody coming down B/V blvd miss the first slight turn in road to left just before calumet ave. Gate. Through grass bounced across MMP and Smashed right through villa wall. No skid marks at least wall stopped the vehicle for going through birdcage. Villa walls not as strong as we think, styrofoam filled. Took out section. What mess. Happed early Friday morning or late Thursday night think? Nothing on news outlets that I can find?

The Sunny (news) paper won’t cover it since it’s Villages news, LOL?

It’s a FENCE. It keeps your dog in and most other critters out. It is NOT a bullet proof, bomb proof security fortress designed to keep rouge vehicles out

If they reported every vehicle accident that occurs in The Villages it would take up an entire section.

Well, we could protect against the worst drivers and make the roads safer by lowering the limit everywhere to 10mph.

OR, we could make the limits reasonable and demand that drivers pay more attention to driving safely.

Usually report when property damage and injury? But, I think it was way up north and who cares right?

Technically a wall? :loco:

Overview
How to Care for & Maintain Your Precast Concrete Fence ...
Yes, a concrete wall can be used as a fence. While the terms "wall" and "fence" are often used interchangeably, a key difference lies in the construction. Fences are typically less substantial, relying on posts connected by boards, wire, or other materials, while walls are more solid and can be made from concrete, brick, or other materials. Concrete walls, especially precast concrete panels, are increasingly popular as a durable and aesthetically pleasing fencing option

I wonder who responsible for outside walls against street home owner or district? Being it got hit on district side I would think district? No I’m not going say the developers :pepper2:

Can't assume nothing.
This could be a medical issue case.

Could been, but we don’t know cause it wasn’t reported.

Maybe, maybe not. Over a ton of metal on wheels with an engine pushing it at 35mph will travel quite a distance before it stops.

An accident involving a vehicle traveling above the speed limit does not mean speeding was the cause of the accident.

Maybe or maybe not? The crash investigation would determine that. But, we don’t know cause it wasn’t reported?

And why does it matter? What would you do with the information even if you had it? We don’t need to be privy to everything that happens here. If it didn’t happen to you or one of your loved ones how is it any of your business?

Semantics aside, does anyone really expect their villa wall/fence would be strong enough to stop a car moving at let's say 35?

It did stop it, but I imagine vehicle was slowed down getting there? The birdcage 2 or 3 feet from wall looks not to be damaged. Other than broken styrofoam and concrete chunks laying everywhere.
