Fox and YouTube TV in Channel Dispute

If it is not resolved, many channels including FOX, FS1, and the Big Ten Network, could all be dropped from YouTube TV’s lineup.

YouTube TV vs. Fox Dispute Could Black Out Falcons''' Opener

Has there ever been one of these that has not been resolved eventually? (Understanding some people may miss some events)

I believe that they are all resolved eventually.

But will it be solved before noon on Saturday?

The game is on Fox35 Orlando, not Fox Sports.

I hope you are right but the internet says all Fox channels will be dropped - including broadcast.

If no deal is reached, Fox's broadcast, cable, and sports channels, including the main Fox broadcast network, will be dropped.

I'm not savvy in this area but wouldn't Fox channels be available on other venues such as Direct TV, antenna or Roku?

Sure, but since I pay $80 for YouTubeTV I'm not interested in paying for DirectTV or to install an antenna. Roku is a streaming device so you would still need to find a streaming provider that carries the channels.

The point is YouTubeTV subscribers will lose all Fox stations. If you use a service other than YouTubeTV the stations will be available.

Michael G. 08-26-2025 05:21 PM

As far as I'm concern, those streaming services can take it and put it where the sun doesn't shine.

I like football, (college mostly) and fortunately I have a son that we shall his streaming services.
It wouldn't be long before they'll make it where there's no more sharing on streaming.

Give me back the good old days when you had less crape for channels.
You either could get the game or not and you knew in advance if you will get it.

Buckeyes rule, Longhorns drool. Warfield and Griffin have been my favorite players since I don’t know when. Ohio State still impresses today even after losing our epic coach Woody. I will see the game either way, either by satellite or on the regular tube. Can’t wait!

I have Paul Warfields autograph on a football.

The last game he coached was in 1978! I was still in school!

retiredguy123 08-26-2025 07:34 PM

In my opinion, this dispute will be resolved quickly because YouTubeTV cannot afford to lose Fox.

McClendons 08-27-2025 04:11 AM

As easy as it is to switch streaming providers, if they do not keep fox a very quick switch to one of the 3 or 4 others. Would anticipate Youtube will lose allot of subscribers, and if smart, its competitors will be offering a discounted few months for switching.

This isn’t a big deal. It happens all the time with networks. It always gets resolved and even if there was a delay, the email from YouTube TV clearly told us how we could get the fox channels via the Fox One app which gives you a 7 day free trial.

Dump Fox

rsmurano 08-27-2025 05:27 AM

I would quit YouTube tv and get another good streaming service. Oh, I did this already a year ago. Fox everything is the most watch service and FS1 and FS2 has events that you can’t get on other sports channels. Take away abc/nbc/cbs and I wouldn’t miss a minute of viewing.

It's not "college football" anymore, sorry. It's semi-pro football, played by a bunch of guys who play for a different team every year, so basically a pick-up game. Most of the players don't even know the names of half of their team members, unless they're first-string players. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the rah rah rah days are over.

I have remedied the issues by using an IPTV service. I access through a 24.00 firestick, pay 10.99 a month ( no contracts and I don't autopay- just log on each month and pay) I can watch Big 10 as well as MANY other sports stations, local news from any city, all regular TV channels, HBo channels, showtime, starz, etc. I can watch all the PPV for free. I can access series from the past years and current year and binge them if I choose. I can also so the same with movies. I have done this for years, saving thousands of dollars and having few issues! The best part? New ones come out all the time so I lf i find one I like better, I just switch- no cancelation needed- just don't pay for the month. You can always go back if you want by paying again. Many offer 3 days to a week free to preview.

You could always sign up for a free trail of another streaming service to see you game of choice then cancel

I predict a YouTube TV price increase in our near future...

Rainger99 08-27-2025 04:45 PM

Short term extension!

The parties have agreed to a short-term extension to their previous contract, as talks on a renewal continue.

Games should be on tv this weekend!
