So? What are you streaming on television lately?
Fisk on Netflix is fun to watch. It's an Australian sitcom with an ensemble cast of quirky characters in a probate law firm. If you liked shows like Northern Exposure and the Canadian hit sitcom Corner Gas, I bet you will like Fisk..
Towards Zero is an Agatha Christie mystery in 3 episodes on BritBox. Binged it. Last night, we watched The Thursday Murder Club starring the very classy Helen Mirren. It takes place in a retirement community. The characters were good, but I found the murder parts of the storyline to be a bit convoluted. (Maybe I should have been paying more attention to the plot, instead of being distracted by Helen Mirren's wardrobe and wondering what kind of sneakers those were. I am not Helen MIrren's age yet, but I recently decided I have earned the right to wear sneakers with anything I want to -- but they have to be the right sneakers. Heck, men have been wearing sneakers with tuxes for years.) Anyway, that's all I've got for now. Boomer |
I really enjoyed watching Thursday murder club, probably because I like all of those actors. We have watched Bosch on Amazon prime, and then watch Ballard. I really liked both of those.

Broken wood Mysteries is my favorite right now, also Death in Paradise and Professor T

I'm a Netflix binge-watcher. I don't watch normal TV or cable TV, other than occasional clips of interest I see on social media. Currently I'm watching Sullivan's Crossing, just started the third season. Started the first season last week. Just before this, I watched Scandal.

Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the single season Sirens, thriller- ish about two sisters, wonderfully acted with Julianne Moore and Kevin Bacon on Netflix. Katrina documentary Come Hell or High Water was amazing, 3 episodes and American Manhunt: Osama Bin Laden also a docuseries. Most interesting was the counterterrorism organization work and the Navy Seal training.

These are all Netflix:
Fisk is indeed excellent. We like Sullivan's Crossing, although I find it to be a lamer version of Virgin River (the concept is almost identical). If you like Yellowstone, I highly recommend Waterfront. Similar feel in a different setting. Untamed was decent, as was the Four Seasons, and Leanne. |
Landman with Billy Bob Thornton. Season two coming in November.

Both are uncommon with Ricky Gervais ( Comedy ) & ( Drama ) writes his own material & is Free of both of the above. I find 100% of the time, USA Comedy ( TV ) is well beyond " Corny " & " Laugh Tracks " are 100% Needed. :loco: :rant-rave: |

As hard as it is to admit this, we’ve been watching “Dallas” because we recently the entire episodes on DVD. Last night we were laughing at the way that Jock was dressed (checkered suit?).
Next, we’re watching “Kfiuha” about the way that Pakistan and India spy on one another. (It’s one of the few on here where they speak English.) |
Just got finished with Mobland next 5 episodes on paramount plus 10 total. Have to get back to hell on wheels also.
|
I'm watching Better Call Saul again. I find it's the best thing ever put on the air.

I’m a latecomer to a lot of streaming shows.
Slow Horses, Apple TV, with Gary Oldman and Kristin Scott Thomas. British MI-6 spy series. Lots of fun and action, good acting, intriguing plots. Season 5 comes out 9/24. Diplomat season 3 out 10/10. Allison Janney joins cast as Vice President. (Netflix) The Mayor of Kingstown, season 4 out 10/26. Jeremy Renner. It’s an intense thriller about a Michigan city “where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry”. Once I started watching it got me hooked. (Paramount) Hostage, Netflix. Ted Lasso, Apple TV Wednesday, Netflix |
Billions is as good as Suits. Virgin River season 6 is a bit slow but ends in a "need to see more" as was Sullivan's Landing. My life with the Walther Brothers is enjoyable. The Resident, New Amsterdam, Greys Anatomy all good. Currently on Band of Brothers after recent trip to Normandy.

Just started watching the thriller Paradise on Hulu starring Sterling K Brown as a Secret Service Agent. On my, I am hooked. |

I like " Wednesday" on Netflix, "Peacemaker" on Prime.I also liked "Rebel Moon part 2" which got terrible reviews, but I liked it. The bad guy, villain had a great role. There were parts of the series to criticize, but I decided to overlook them. It is on Netflix.

If you like Death in Paradise, check out Beyond Paradise with Kris Marshall and Sally Bretton.

My wife and I are watching Animal Kingdom on Netflix. We are in season 3 of the 6 seasons. Ellen Barkin is the matriarch of a crime family set in California. Very interesting characters and story lines.

I forgot, I recently binged the Lazarus Project on Netflix. That was some pretty freaky stuff, sometimes hard to follow because of the "multiverse" theme captured on video. Easier to flip back and forth when trying to keep up with a Heinlein novel about Lazarus Long, than to remain visually involved with a movie. It was pretty awesome though. Definitely something you'd appreciate more if you enjoy multiverse themes.

Severance- The end of season one was very intense. Masters of the Air- Interesting show about WWII bombers The Chosen- Surprisingly good. Loudermilk. At least seasons 1-2. Have not seen S3 yet. Nobody Wants This...Nice take on modern romance Tokyo Vice.... season 1 was very good Bad Monkey - I liked the book better but Vince Vaughn did a great job as the lead and loved his co-star. Hart of Dixie. It is an old show. Just finished season one. We love how almost all the characters are upstanding people. That makes us curious about how it compares to the other shows in this genre (Virgin River, Sullivan's Crossing and maybe Heartland) Tulsa King. Stallone does a great job. Season one was great. Landman. Billy Bob carries the show. Tehran- I wish season 3 would air. Cobra Kai. Just finished season 4. There's some surprisingly warm moments in this show. Black Bird - Another good AppleTV+ show. Monsieur Spade The Gentleman Clarkson's Farm... hard to describe but enjoyable We're also watching some old sitcoms like Modern Family, The Middle, The Goldbergs, NewsRadio, Young Sheldon, and Last Man Standing. |
