Ghosts over LSL?

Last night I took a picture using my phone camera of the moon over the lake at LSL. When I looked at the picture there was something there that I did not see while taking the picture; ghosts?

What a neat photo. Mind Sharing?

dkcm33... I have seen this in other photos. I have a friend who, when shooting photographs of her young grandson, has this kind of thing show up around his image almost without exception.
We decided it was his guardian of sorts. (He's a gentle child.)
Who knows? maybe what you shot is 'The Guardian' of the lake... I wouldn't mind!

I hope you don't mind, but I have a cyberfriend who is a cameraman for an L.A. studio and I asked if he had any idea what your camera "saw." He knows quite a bit about how and what is seen by the lens and offers this possibility: " ......the picture was taken with a .... cell phone, with a low resolution of only 478 x 799 pixels..........it was taken in failing (that is, dim) light with a long exposure, as is obvious from the image -- overexposed windows, underexposed roof on the left, underexposed wall along the water, underexposed trees in the background.

My guess is that the white trail is an insect with a rapid wing beat flying in front of the lens during the exposure. The trail is very out-of-focus, meaning that it was much closer to the lens than the fence in the foreground. The modular look of the trail is due to the beating of the wings, each module being one wing beat."

Isn't it amazing how what our eyes see and the camera lens sees is so different. It was such an interesting picture, I knew my friend would have an answer...he's quite knowledgeable in this area. He's also knew the type of cell phone used and the time of day the picture was taken. I'm always in awe of what he knows and how well he explains the info to me, who is sometimes more technically challenged than not...lol

Uptown Girl 03-08-2011 07:26 AM

Okay then!

That would account for the dual zigzag lines... Whoa! Maybe my friend's little grandson has fleas!!!!:1rotfl:

Ghost

Hi All,

There is a myth about a ghost that is sometimes seen on Rolling Acres Road, the ghost has also been seen at LSL.

Not to sure if the information is still on TOTV, as it was originally posted when this site first started. Some friends have gone on ghost rides looking for her.

Hope it is still posted so that you can read the history of our ghost.

Ghost named Julia

Excellent find!

Yes Julia is the ghost that has been seen. I do not recall when the first siting was. If I recall correctly, not to sure if it took place, there was to be a seance at LSL near the lake under one of the trees.

I will see if anyone still has the pictures of Julia. If I find them I will post them.

We can always start another search for her. :22yikes::22yikes:

That is a very interesting photograph. What I like about this forum, is that we can always depend on friends like Pooh to come up with a reasonable explanation, one that would have never occured to me!

You should have waited one week before Halloween to post the picture. Then we all would have believed in ghosts! :)

Yep, her name is Julia and you'll hear us talk about her every so often. Donna is the leader of the "Find Julia" group and she and Rockin Rhonda went down Rolling Acres late one night to find her and got the **** scared out of them. I do believe she hangs around LSL because a few years ago, Donna took a picture of me and DickY outside of Bravo pizza and the picture showed Julia hovering over my head.... I swear, I hope I can find this picture and I'll post it. :22yikes:

Hi KathieI,

I have emailed Donna to see if she still has the pictures.

For those of you who do not know of this midnight ride down Rolling Acres Road to visit Julia, our brave heroins went via golf cart.

I'd love to see that picture, too, Kathie.

Does anyone have any information on just who this Julia was? It is stated that she was killed by a former suitor, but I can't seem to find anything about who she was, when the death happened, who did the killing. Is she a real person or legend?

KathieI 09-06-2011 08:56 PM

You're in luck!! Donna found the picture and just sent it to me via email. I'll down load it here in a few minutes, but let me caution you first.... I don't look like this anymore, thank God... thanks to living in TV and the Wellness Center, I look very different. And as far as the history of Julia, we'll have to appeal to Donna to tell us the story, maybe the Vicar knows it as well. ???? Who are you Vicar? Seems like you are an old acquaintance of ours who went on that little gutsy trip to Rolling Acres???? hmmmm??? Be back in a few with the picture.

Ghost named Julia

Kathie,

As a Vicar I am not allowed to disclose anything that is said to me in the confessional.

Thank you for posting the picture. If my memory serves me correctly Dicky Y was in the picture with you and Julia was just hovering over you.

There are other pictures of Julia floating around - perhaps they will turn up also.

Donna 09-06-2011 09:05 PM

Hi Vicar..Just how much information do you have on Julia, and what were your sources? We have seen her up close and personal, it was far from an uneventful night..Please see if you have any pics, I would be very interested in seeing them..

weird...I was talking about this today

2008?? Since I was there I thought I should write....I was driving, a car...not a golf cart...Donna was shot gun....several others chickened out....we know what we saw...we approached the area where Julia is supposedly and reportedly often seen (dead end and stop signs visible) and a heavy stream of smoke came across the street....almost illuminated...we u turned and didn't see anything when we went back...so we u-turned again and there it was..heavy thick snake like smoke, that spun in front of the car.....SCARED.....but I opened the car door and took a quick photo (blurry, but when blown up a face is seen) and suddenly a big truck was right behind us. Just ahead was a stop sign and the dead end sign and dead end street. I stopped at the stop sign and went straight across down the dead end...I thought the truck would turn, but it turned its lights off and followed us. Panicked I sped up and then made another quick uturn and the truck did the same and followed us....lights off......Donna on the phone to 911...we turned onto 466 or 466A and the truck was GONE......I haven't gone back since! :spoken: RR but the bug explanation works for this picture!!

KathieI 09-06-2011 09:31 PM

Interesting picture. I have a few questions. Was anyone smoking cigarettes or cigars when the picture was taken? Did you see anything with your eyes? What time of the year was the picture taken? What time of evening?

Does Donna have any info on Julia? When did she die, who was she, who was her killer?

Thanks for the picture, Kathie, Donna.

Ohhhh Poohhh!!! You're too smart. All these years and I never figured that out... but Donna does smoke and she was taking the picture, so she must've had a cig in her hand. We didn't see anything around us and it was in the spring of '08 (I think) and prob around 8pm.... but you must be right, it prob was Donna's cig.

As far as Julia's history, I will have to let Donna tell you because I don't know the history as well as she does. Maybe Rhonda can chime in, she knows it also.

Sorry that's all I've got...
