Are the Snowbirds flying back North yet?
We are going to be visiting TV for 6 days or so...leaving this Friday. Just wondering if anyone has noticed if the Town Squares, restaurants, etc., have become less populated as the month of March continues. I would guess people start heading back home in March and April but I am curious as to whether it is a noticeable difference yet.
Can't wait to get there!!!!!! |
No way
I haven't seen any changes yet. But not to worry you'll still have a great visit.Weather has been great high 70s to low 80's.

I hope we get to meet you.
Please IM when you have a little space. Would love to have you stop by. Welcome and enjoy every second. |
Not Yet
It seems end of April or least after tax season before I notice a difference.

Not this "snow bird". I am planted here until June. I actually think (with no data to back it up) March is the highest of the high season here. The weather this year is , you will have a ball.
PS. Now for a really important question :icon_twisted:. Being here 8 months a year, am I still a snow bird? Seems someone like myself is away much more than snow season. |
end of April is the big flight north

Snowbirds
Most of the "snowflakes" (renters) leave at the March. Some of the snowbird owners leave around Easter. Some of them stay through most of May and are out of here by Mother's Day. You should see a decrease in the population as we move into April.

Snowbirds
I don't understand why you folks aren't into political correctness more. If you were you would understand that they are not called "snowbirds" they are referred to as "seasonal residents".:D
I suspect based on the bad winter that most :D "seasonal residents" will not be in a rush to return home at least until the snow completely melts. So "seasonal residents":D you may get home just in time to celebrate Memorial Day.:BigApplause: |

Thanks for everyone's input! We plan on skipping the snowflake and snowbird stages and morph right into frog in a couple of years!
Gracie...thanks for you kind invitation. I sent you a Personal Message...don't know if that is the same thing as the IM you are talking about. I am not the most computer-savvy Hawk in the nest!:icon_wink: |
With the increasing cost of gasoline and air fares, it wouldn't surprise me to see seasonal residents deciding to stay here in TV.
