Longest resident
Just wondering, who has lived the longest at the Villages?
|
I saw a guy in Spanish Springs that had to be at least 6'8".

Second Generation - Silver Lake
The Hubs and I are second generation in Silver Lake. His folks came to TV in 1985. We inherited our home from them in 2009 when my precious mother-in-law passed away. Anybody else out there a legacy like we are??

I have an Uncle that lives in the Village of Country Club Hills who has been there for 25 years. He will turn 90 next month and still looks like he could kick some butt on the links. He is entitled to play golf for free at Orange Blossom and one other executive course and his cable tv is incuded in his monthly amenities fee.

I would guess that a friend of mine is probably the longest one here. She and her husband (long deceased) bought the third manufactured home when it was still Orange Blossom (long before Harold Schwartz bought it). She' in her 90's (looks early 70's), plays bridge fairly well, still drives (well, but not at night) and is truly a sweet woman. And, yes, she does have free cable and garbage.

I was just curious if anyone knows how to find the first recorded home owner in TV? |

My uncle and aunt used to rent in TV in the early 80's and bought in Country Club Hills in about '85. He recently told me that the town center was as described above and that the land where La Plaza Grande and Spanish Springs is located was just farm land at that time. They are both in their early 80's now so in 1980 they were about 50.
