Palin Emails

Ok Liberals.. answer this one..
If you guys all consider Palin stupid and no threat to win the Presidency, why are you spending tons of money and time sending reporters to pick up 300 pounds of 24,000 emails IN JUNEAU ALASKA, and paying investigators and reporters to read them?
Why aren't you reading the emails of Romney, and the rest of the "qualified" Republican candidates?
Admit it.. She is the only one you are truly afraid of.

Why do you or the media care what she did in Alaska if she is a stupid person who will never run for anything?. You know why.
Why don't you care about the thousands of emails of Romney, Pawletti, Gingrich, Paul, Bachmann, Perry, Santorum, etc etc. You know why.
Just admit it. She is a threat and they want to find something.. anything to try to destroy her.

Nah...I just figure some of her emails may provide cheap thrills.

JimMoe,

Why would anyone have to try and destroy Palin's credibility? Give her a microphone and let her try to answer unrehearsed questions and she will destroy herself - just like she did with Katy Couric. Since that time, she and her Teabag controllers will not let her have any interviews unless the questions have been submitted to them in advance.

Guest 06-10-2011 08:11 PM

Does she give you a trill up your let like...

I think they should be concerned with Weiners' communications. Poor Weiner. What's he going to do now? He's never worked in the real world. A baby on the way. When Rangel is the only Dem to stand up for you, well, you might be in trouble.

I am about as attracted to Sarah Palin as I am to Republican ideas, policy & philosophy. I'd rather practice celebacy than be subjected to her. Does that tell you what a thrill she gives me?

Maybe you should join the citizen army that the Washington Post and the New York Times are soliciting to read the emails for them? Even you have to admit that is nuts... and then you have to ask.. why are they not demanding to read all of senator obamas emails.. joe biden emails... and all the Official Repub candidates emails.. you know why.. they are after HER.. and you know why.. because they fear her.

They could if they wanted under the Freedom of Info Act though I think the Prez doesn't have to comply maybe until after out-of-office. Think maybe that reading might be a little boring. They want Palin's cuz there's something in there that is news. Yes, I said news, not noise as in Fox Noise.

Guest 06-11-2011 09:00 AM

Don't forget that Sarah still believes humans and dinosaurs walked on Earth at the same time.

Sarah thought the movie "1,000,000 BC" was a documentary.

Guest 06-11-2011 09:04 AM

whatt about?

What about?
1. emails when obama was in the senate.
2. WHY dont the media demand obama, Romney etc emails?? WHY JUST Palin?
3. CUZ there is "something"?? what the heck does that mean.. something??? it is a fishing expedition to try to find something to destroy her.
Why wont you admit the obvious?

Oh, that sweet obsession. Digging into the emails; maybe digging into her discarded trash; ohhhh..........if only they were able to dig into her dresser drawers; what may they find........ohhh, what cheap thrills they may experience with each dainty discovery. Sarah, Sarah; they can't stop thinking about you.

Left leaning online blog Politico, the driving force to obtaining the emails, is kind of "shrugging".

The anti-Palin left may end of kicking themselves.

Watch for the opening of "Undefeated"; you know you won't want to miss it, or the abundant media coverage of it and of Gov. Palin.

Catching any walleyes or northerns up there in Brainerd, Dale?

Guest 06-11-2011 03:37 PM

Well, to her credit (are you listening Richie?), she's basically saying she has nothing to hide. I respect that.

Guest 06-11-2011 03:44 PM

I know why Sarah Palin is not a thrill for DaleMN. It is because he has this thing for Amy Klobuchar, MN Senator.

Dale Brainerd is a nice area. Great golf courses up that way Pretty country

Guest 06-11-2011 05:09 PM

FYI: The only reason the former Gov. Of Alaska's e-mails were able to be secured is because the laws in Alaska are very convenient to having this done. It was not a Federal law but a state law.

It's beautiful. I would miss it dearly in the summer if we ever move to The Villages full-time. Right now it is 74, sunny, light breeze, low humidity. Awesome time on the golf course today. Life is good.

Many are I'm sure, but I am not a fisherman. Haven't wet a line in like 35 years. Golf and, when I was younger, softball used my leisure time.

Already this email frenzy is seen as backfiring on her detractors. Kind of delicious, don't you think?

The Longer This Drags On...

The longer the race for the GOP nomination drags on, the lesser the chance that President Obama will be turned out of office in 2012.

So far, none of the presumed GOP candidates has much of a campaign staff put together, and none of them appear to have good "on the ground" organizations in the important primary states. Newt Gingrich's whole staff quit while he was on a cruise last week.

The result is that fund-raising for any of the presumed GOP candidates is lagging badly. For better or worse, the money goes to the presumed winner and at this point Obama has more than $1 billion in his campaign war chest. With that kind of money to pay for staff support and advertising, he'll be tough to beat.

Guest 06-12-2011 11:28 AM

I think Palin detractors should read Palin's god email. Charges she is stupid are ridiculous. She is a caring and intelligent conservative woman who many liberals are willing to trash to keep their socialist agenda going. What a shame.

You're a very impatient pundit. The campaign hasn't even begun. The winner of the Presidential election may not even be declared yet.

I seriously think you're wildly misreading the mood of the American public.

Back to the Palin e-mails....As my friend from Alabama use to say " there they go trying to spot the flysh--in the pepper. here we have the liberal media poring over Palin's e-mails and I suspect every aspect of her life and that of her family and she is coming out looking more and more of a serious presidential contender, intelligent keenly aware of PR issues, etc

Keep going liberal media before its over you will be writing that people ought to vote for her in 2012

Guest 06-12-2011 04:18 PM

The REAL STORY on this Palin email excavation is the Washington Post and the New York Times imploring it's readers to come to their aid and help them to dig through these thousands upon thousands of pages of emails and help them find dirt on Gov. Sarah Palin.

When has the media ever exposed itself this blatantly in it's desire to try to destroy a political figure? A political figure they try to portray as a "joke" and a "sideshow". Their dedication to their desire to tear her down gives lie to their own purported "dismissal" of her.

Guest 06-12-2011 09:24 PM

Very interesting Palin"ism"

Sarah Palin billed Alaska taxpayers more than $17,000 for travel expenses when she stayed in her own home during her term as governor in Juneau. The money was part of a “per diem” system of travel stipends, which the governor was able to claim for trips to her home town of Wasilla.

The Washington Post reported in September 2008 that Palin claimed expenses for 312 days spent in her own home, and an additional $43,000 in travel cost for her family — much of it between Juneau and Wasilla.

Palin has said that the expenses were not unusual and that she saved the state money by selling the official plane and trimming other expenses.

The travel expenses include nearly $11,000 for airfare for her daughter Piper, now 10, and more than $38,000 for her husband, Todd. State officials later said that she would be liable for federal taxes on the per diems.

Palin also accepted more than $25,000 in gifts for herself and her family while she was governor, including artwork, jewelry, travel expenses and a Nintendo game system.

About a quarter of the entities that supplied Palin with gifts are linked to a mining lobbyist. In one case, the Barrick Gold Corp. paid $805 for Todd Palin to travel to a mine, including the cost of a hat and T-shirt. Calista Corp., a mining and energy company, gave Palin an ivory puffin mask and necklace.

When The Post reported on the gifts, a McCain-Palin campaign spokesman said they had no influence on her and that Palin has stood for the highest standard of ethics.

Palin pushed the state legislature to adopt new ethics standards, which barred state officials from taking gifts from lobbyists or others with business before the state - after she had taken so many herself.

Guest 06-12-2011 10:53 PM

You know Bugs. I'm not taking the bait and wasting time researching your little tidbits. I'll let the stories come to me in the lame-stream media if there's any real "story" there. God knows, they've got nothing more pressing to do.

Guest 06-13-2011 05:51 AM

If what TBugs quoted is the most they can come up with against Palin, I'd say that falls into the category of what an old friend called "baby food stuff".

Guest 06-13-2011 08:46 AM

I just have to love Richie's attitude on my posting. I got it off the Palin email section of the Washington Post online.

It shows that Palin is not above taking everything that she could possibly get within the shadow of the law. I am not saying by any means that other politicians have done the same or much worse. I am only saying Palin is not a snow-white angel but is a typical politician. That is the only reason I posted the piece.

By the way, Richie, I do agree that this frenzy over Palin's emails by the Post and the Times is 100% ridiculous.:jester:

Guest 06-13-2011 03:50 PM

As my friend from alabama use to say some folks just can't help but pulling the flys--- from the pepper. WSJ had an article on the costs associated when the Obamas travel. It ran into the million becuase they brought along several limo several chefs etc, etc now that's not fly s---

In a nutshell, Sarah Palin (and Michelle Bachmann) are intelligent, attractive and very independent women (traits I have observed in most Republican/Conservative women) and therefore Sarah Palin intimidates many men (and women) within the Democratic party.
