Crazy days of Summer.
Whoo Hoooo...... about sums it up.

The month that obama took office

That is quite a feat. First month, and down ever since. LOL
Pretty pathetic for your first shot. NINE (9) POINT(.) TWO (2) PERCENT (%) And that's the Obama "Recovery"! |
Actor: Just out of curiosity, what timeframe are you quoting that 600K job loss number from?
Are we forgetting that, for the last 3 months before the stimulus package was signed (meaning the last 3 months of the Bush presidency) we were losing an average of 750,000 jobs PER MONTH? A 0.1% 'jump' in unemployment is statistically insignificant. After all, it dropped just before that. It would appear that we're "treading water" with only something in the 3%+ range of GDP growth (based on what I'm reading today) versus needing a 5.0%+ growth number to REALLY get the unemployment rate down. But I can't stop thinking about how the Great Recession is *OVER* for executives. |

It seems to me that BlueHeronFan and so many of the other uber-conservatives are very unpatriotic people. I would hesitate to even call them loyal Americans. BlueHeronFan actually seems glad the unemployment rate has gone higher so he can crow about President Obama failing. How can a person have so much venom and hate about the President that was duly elected by a majority of real Americans that he wishes failure on his country?

the numbers

Then again there is the fuzzy Math issue. The Bureau of Labor lists October 2010 at 9.6%. Granted the recent 9.1% is not where we want it. It did go up .1% in the last month. Is there an influx of college grads not able to find work? http://www.ncsl.org/?tabid=13307 I agree is unpatriotic to hope your president and Congress fails to solve our nation's issues. |
Add this one to the category of something to make you think.
Canada announced THEIR employment statistics. They added 28,400 new jobs last month. Canada has ONE TENTH our population and yet they added something under TWICE as many jobs with their VERY LARGE tax structures. In other words, if Canada had our population, that would be like adding a quarter of a million jobs in a single month. |
It's official.

Downright amazing how some people can be hateful in such a wonderful place as The Villages, isn't it?
Even though it rained most of the day, it was still a beautiful day in The Villages. I worked for a couple of hours at a food bank, had a good dinner and couple of drinks at Cody's, and just enjoyed life. Hope everyone else did too. Yes, even to you, BlueHeron, hope you had a great day and got rid of some of your hatred by writing your posting to this forum. Perhaps you should seek some professional counseling for your anger management issues.:beer3: |

The liberals, when with little to rebut with, and my friend Buggy is classic in regard, insult the poster who annoys them without really addressing the point being made. When that poster reacts to the insult, he is called hateful and the gnashing of teeth begins and all the liberals crowd around and comfort each other and go "there, there, don't listen to the hateful conservative".
I admit, BlueHeron could have been more tactful, but the fact is he was provoked to put it mildly. |

What is going on? That exchange with BlueHeron was 6 weeks ago (as my friend, Tbugs, told me). It is over and done with. I thought they had shaken hands and made up over a cold beer at Cody's. Great place with 2 for 1 drinks, by the way.
Richie is right. It is not only liberals who will say thoughtless things but both sides do it. Personally, I will go after a political figure but hopefully, not after a poster on this forum. It has been done in the past but now that I have found the "bug spray button", some of those individuals are not able to buzz around my computer. Let's close this portion now and leave it alone. |
