My garage theme

Many people decorate their garage with classic car pictures and posters. I decided to do the same, only use posters of our own family cars.

Pic 1 My wife's dad's 1957 Ford taken on Daytona Beach vacation and my dad's 1955 Ford wagon parked in front of our house in Weirton, WV

On the side wall, my Uncle Len in the straw hat with his new 1956 Mercury and my dad standing by his 1926 Chandler named "The Midnight Stroller."

History of the portable wheeled coat rack please.

I'm gonna make my husband clean our garage to it looks like yours! Wow, that's cleaner than my house and I'm a clean freak!!

jblum315 07-14-2011 05:27 PM

I must be blind. I don't see a portable wheeled coat rack.

I was astonished at how clean Talk Host's garage was when he had his house for sale in Chatham. This one is even more magnificent.

How do you keep it so nice??

I too think of myself is a clean freak.

missypie 07-14-2011 05:54 PM

That was the most beautiful garage I have ever seen!!! What memories! Thank you for sharing....

pooh 07-14-2011 06:04 PM

The pictures are lovely, but the garage.....wow, it's so neat, clean and painted such a pretty color! The beautiful blue really makes the pictures "pop." Nice job!

Bill-n-Brillo 07-14-2011 06:10 PM

Having lots of garage space is one thing. But having a super clean garage is something entirely different.

I stand in awe - very impressive, TH!

Bill :)

I agree with all of the cleanliness statements (I don't think I get that clean after taking a 15 minute shower) but I am most impressed by the photos. They seem to balance family and memories from the past with lifestyle of today. Very, very cool.

Talk Host 07-14-2011 07:02 PM

I take great pride in keeping my garage clean and welcoming. It's not that difficult. I like the way it looks and am never ashamed for people to walk through or visit. Just add it to the list of things to do.

If you think the garage is clean, you should see my workshop. I don't dare post any pictures of that. Actually, it's really nice with its own theme.

Pturner 07-14-2011 07:12 PM

TH,
Will you come decorate my garage. Please, please, please.

Seriously, you could do people's garages for a living.

:BigApplause:

Also, please show us your workshop. Thanks.

pooh 07-14-2011 07:16 PM

Yes, I'd like to see the workshop, also. My garage is, well, rather "busy" and as soon as the weather cools a bit, it will be time to purge, purge, purge...and then, maybe it will be ALMOST as neat as yours... well, maybe not,....:D

Goes under "you learn something new everyday"

Never seen a dethatcher before and had to wiki it to find out what it was.

Words escape me... And that NEVER happens!!! :BigApplause:

Shimpy 07-15-2011 12:22 PM

The best part of your garage is the Burgandy Wing. I've never had a garage that clean.

2BNTV 07-15-2011 12:50 PM

WOW!!!! Very Cool!!!!! Very impressive!!!!

Very meticulous. Thanks for posting this.

GaDawg 07-15-2011 01:34 PM

Wow!

I'm going to have to rethink my "a place for everything and everything all over the place" garage plan!! It takes time and effort to keep your space the way you do Talk Host! Kudos, and thanks for the pix!

pooh 07-15-2011 02:10 PM

:BigApplause::BigApplause::BigApplause:

It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! You've done a wonderful job....what's the old saying, "A place for everything and everything in its place."

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm going to have to post pictures of your garage in my garage so it will know what it's supposed to look like... :) Mine just keeps bringing junk in....not sure how a garage can do that, but mine DOES... :D

vclaes 07-15-2011 02:14 PM

Clearly, Boy Toy is going to have to do A LOT more purging of our basement and garage before we head for TV!

Talk Host 07-15-2011 02:51 PM

Thank you all for your nice comments. Keeping my work areas nice is kind of like a hobby for me.
