Purse Storage While Driving A Golf Cart

On my first rental in TV earlier this month, I wasn't sure where to store my purse while driving the golf cart. Didn't know if it was good to store it on the seat next to me or in the wire basket in the back of the golf cart. So I ditched the purse while using the golf cart and used a fanny pack (some people call them hip packs). Where do the ladies of TV store their purses while using a golf cart -- assuming you are in the cart by yourself without a passenger to hold on to it?

When I'm in a golf cart, I always throw my purse in the back!

My wife uses one that has a long enough strap to go around the shoulder.

I use one that goes around shoulder, throw it in back or put it in glove box.

Depending on the circumstances, I throw mine in the back or hang it from my shoulder or have honey hold it.

Purse storage

for me is up in the parcel holder tray above the windshield. Just have to watch the blowing plastic bags are tucked under so they don't catch the wind.

I switched from a purse to a wallet and just throw it in my back pocket.

That's an interesting maneuver. Maybe you can make that into a Youtube video.
Are your pants very baggy or are you just extremely talented?

My fanny doesn't need any more packed on it.....hehe

obxgal 07-23-2011 07:36 PM

Sorry about that. I don't throw it in my back pocket, I place it there. At a size 8 I don't have much of a fanny. :D

Now you tell us! I was outside under a shade tree all afternoon trying to throw my wallet into my back pocket. The neighbors were gathering around pointing and shaking their heads. A couple of dogs were growling too. :sigh:

When I carry a purse, I put it in the wire basket. However, I carry one less and less often to run errands. Don't carry a wallet either. Instead, I put my Villages ID, my driver's license and a credit card in one pocket, my iPhone in another. When I need to carry more, or am doing something less casual, then I carry a purse.

It's great to ditch the weight of the purse! My shoulder LOVES it.

I switched

to a small leather purse with a strap - has a small zipper just for cards - I keep only my Villages ID in there, and enough room in two other compartments for a change purse for cash, a credit card/business card thing (I keep my driver's license, credit cards, healthcare cards, library card, CVS card, Sam's club card, etc) and in the 2nd compartment a folding hairbrush and lipstick, plus room for keys. Also room for a pair of reading glasses. It's all about 6 x 4 inches, and about 3 inches deep.

This small purse can be thrown (or placed for you literalists) into a larger purse when you want one - men always complain about purses but are always asking if you can put things in it for THEM.

I found I was constantly misplacing my Villages ID before I got this - would take it out for golf, pool, back into my old wallet for rec center, etc.

This way I can put the small purse (with my ID) into a golf bag, pool bag, etc. Haven't misplaced my ID since I got this. I can also keep my various club name tags in it as well, but probably need to get another change purse (one of those little zippered bags) for those.

I spend a lot of my life looking for things and am trying to get all this stuff organized before I get even worse, as I don't see it getting better, just like somehow we don't get younger!

I use a fanny pack all the time. Don't really like a purse that much. I can put my fanny pack in my little glove box. I can add a tote bag between our front and back seats for things I take but don't want to carry all the time.

Thanks for all the good suggestions. I will be back in TV in October so I willl put these ideas into practice!

I use the Rume model called All. It weighs about 2 ounces. Best little carryall I've ever found: http://www.rumebags.com/
