Thanks and I hope I got the right lot pix. Our house is a stretched Iris. We had the lanai stretched out another 4 ft. and stretched the garage and front br another 2ft. More room for "stuff." Picked the Iris because my Peach had to have room for her baby...grand that is. Will be away from TV for a few days to check on Joan's mother in Georgia. Will have to see if I can get Peg n Bob a pix of their lot next. Kind of fun being able to share pix for those not able to be here to see the place take shape. Hope it helps make a connection to your new neighborhood. There is no building on Alee Ln. as yet. Seems the only street without a house started. Back in TV on Friday and will post more pix next weekend.

It was just a pleasure meeting both of you and all of the folks at the luncheon Sunday. Glad you took the time to go see the progress in Sanibel. It has been amazing to watch a whole new neighborhood begin taking shape. After our short trip to Ga. we are going to check out those cart places you suggested. Want to have one in the bay the day we move in HaHaHa.

You could post pictures of the neighborhood in progress..... When we were there, the home next to ours was just starting and one other was about half finished! I would LOVE to see what it looks like now!

I would love to see that too. I just put Tom on a plane to come down for a week. Maybe he will catch up with some of you who are there and say hello! Also, maybe he'll get some good pics!
Angie, the home between yours and mine in the back is probably nearly finished by now because it was pretty far up when we were there. Fun to watch the progress! Are you retired yet? You must be thrilled!

Our cement pad was poured today. It seems like it was slow going compared to others we have seen get started since we signed the contract on 7/16. But we still expect to close by 10/4 since the Villages claims they never miss a closing date. Ya all let me know your lot numbers and I'll send you photos on this site. We plan on being down daily to watch our progress. We are lot 13 on Bradford loop.

Our salesman is planning on running an article in the "Villages Happenings", a flyer salesman from the villages produce. I'll share it when it comes out.
Their dog Marley is heading the article and using our dog Rusty as his pal building in Sanibel. Should be cute.

We received our first pictures of our pad that was poured. That really made our day. We can't be there right now...so this is the next best thing!!!!

I know... That's the weird thing!!! Having a home built and not being there to "watch it". :22yikes:

We will look forward to Tom's call.

I got a call from Tom while he was at the lot. He sent me some pics via his phone, and one was of your lot with the foundation poured! He said there was quite a lot of building all around us, so I am sure it is fun to watch!

Lots,12,13,14,15 and 17 are being built

Tom told me a couple came by to look at Lot 15 while he was there. They are friends of the owners and the owners are in Sweden right now, but are coming to the Villages, to live on Lot 15.

Gees guys, I am gone out of town for 2 days and all of a sudden you've nominated me for mayor!!! Holy cow! The only thing I know about politics is what I heard years ago. "Regarding the issues, some of my friends are fer it, and some agin it. As for me....I stand by my friends!"

Now...that is very political speak, Mr Mayor!:thumbup: Think this is shaping up to be a very good village! Others would argue that they all are! There's that "some are fer it and some are agin it" again!:D
