House Cleaners

I have been using ultra kleanerz for about two months now and they do a great job. I have them in every other week. If you are looking for a cleaning service I highly recommend them. (352) 461-4971

Having never had a cleaning person, I was wondering what would be the typical three hour jobs that one would expect them to do. Other posters have said they pay $45 for three hours. Is this "light" cleaning?
I assume bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming ????

My husband just spent three hours using Amaz and Lime Away on the clear glass shower door up here. He said he wouldn't do it for $45....but would charge $300 for the time he spent. I said "No one would hire you".

As I just said to hubby, when I was young, I could clean my entire house in one day, or even half a day.

.........now I have to pace myself to do a little here and a little there. I'm beginning to think it's "time" to get some help, both up here and if we do relocate to TV........for sure. .....although one nice all on one level home would be heaven after three levels up here. No steps sounds great.

Thanks in advance. The spirit is willing but the body is weak.

I don 't know who is getting 3 hours of cleaning for $45. I researched cleaners in the area and interviewed 3 and all of them charged $75. The first cleaning took 3 hours and now the cleaner I chose comes every other week and usually spends between 1 hr and 1-1/2 hours. They rotate between cleaning baseboards and cleaning blinds, along with the other duties. I am very pleased with the new cleaners, but if I could get 3 hours for $15, I'd sign up with them.

I hope my memory is correct but that is what I read. I think it was Red Witch? I'll look it up. I also thought it was low, unless I misunderstood.

I pay $60 every 2 weeks. I have a 3/2 ranch. Am super-satisfied with the service I use and would highly recommend. They charge between $50-$75 based on home size & what's requested. My neighbor just started using them and are paying $65 (same size home, but all tile.) You can PM me for contact info if you like.

Oh yeah and when you recommend someone you get $10 off your next clean so if you choose ultra kleanerz mention me. ;)

texasfal 08-03-2011 03:12 PM

I forgot to say that they also sweep the lanai and wipe down the table. Sounds like we're all in the right ballpark.

swrinfla 08-03-2011 03:52 PM

I've used Daisy Maids (352-314-9070) for years.

I have two gals every month; not always the same ones, but often.

They're always on time (often early, but they call ahead). They do a really thorough job throughout my Gardenia. They understand my wooden floors. They understand that The Cat has certain privileges!

Some folks think that the monthly $125 is excessive. But, it jibes with what I used to pay "up north," and I get a h*** of a lot more here!

Highly recommend them!

They do a good job. I would think you get what you pay for that goes for just about everything. They do a great job.

It is a quirk with me that I can't enjoy having someone else clean my house.

Now I know I am gonna lose a lot of friends when I say I kinda like to clean my house. I also like to grocery shop and I really enjoy cooking.

Years past when my job had a lot of traveling, I hired my house cleaned. I always felt like a fifth wheel if I was home during the cleaning...and guilty, somehow. We Ohio girls can be stubborn and opinionated and terribly independant.

Just sayin....

gary42651 08-22-2011 02:36 PM

Talk about quirk, my wife would go crazy cleaning the house the day before the cleaning lady would come...she didn`t want her to think we where dirty...

At the risk of perhaps being off topic, I have to post that after almost thinking I would have to replace our glass shower door down in Florida, I found something that worked AWESOMELY. I tried everything, lime-away, etc, etc. but our shower door looked awful.
A neighbor bet me dinner out that her stuff would make it look brand new with just one wipe. I'm a VERY cynical guy, so I took the bet. I'm glad to say I lost. Her stuff was called "Crust-buster" made by Conklin products. Made the shower door look brand new. Just thought I'd pass it along. I do not know what it is about Florida shower doors.....??

Where do you buy that, Frank? I found their website and can order it online, but just wondered if it is sold in stores nearby. Thank you.

We too do some "straightening up":) before the cleaning ladies (2) come to the house every other week.

I remember my mother doing this every time before she had some local Minneapolis house cleaning company come out to the house. It drove my dad crazy! I didn't quite understand it either. It seemed a little unnecessary, but it seems like other people do it as well!

Did anybody find where to purchase this product? I sure would like to know.

Indydealmaker 08-28-2011 04:50 PM

Conklin products appear to be only available from "Independent Business Owners" rather than retail outlets. Sounds kind of like Amway type distribution. I think the closest IBO to TV was in Sanford, fl

faithfulfrank 08-28-2011 05:12 PM

The above post is true, but you can buy their stuff from their website, www.conklin.com.

Again, I rarely ever endorse anything like this, and I have NO stake in this company or anything. I only mentioned it because it seemed when I bought my Florida home, both my glass shower doors were awful, and nothing seemed to work except this stuff. Then it seemed like other folks down there had the same problem. Never had this problem up here in NY.

Please do not think I'm a dealer or benefit in this in any way. I don't.

Respectfully, Frank

House cleaners

I am sure this subject has been beaten to death, but I will ask again. I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath CYV and want to find a reliable company to routinely clean my home. We have no carpeting in the home. I am considering contacting Testerman's Ultrasonic blind cleaning to (obviously) clean my blinds and verticals as well. Does anyone have experience with this service? I would appreciate referrals regarding house cleaners. Thanks

Hi,

I'm sorry I have no experience with Testerman's, but have you tried looking for a house cleaning company on Angie's List? My sister has had good luck with the Seattle house cleaning company she uses. I think all the companies are reviewed by their customers so that might give you an idea as to who might be the best for the job. Also, depending on your location, Angie's List is in a lot of cities now.

Hope that helps!

I can recommend Luke's "Kleaning House, KleaningHouse@Embarqmail.com 352-636-1091.

I've also used Susan's "Hometown Cleaning Services", 245-6736 or 352-454-4031 (Susan's Cell). They have a website which lists prices.

If you use either of these services, please PM me and let me know how you like the service.

Like Graciegirl, I prefer to clean my own home. But I now find it delightful to have someone else do the "nasty jobs" twice a month ... like bathrooms, floors and windows,

Bless you and Gracie.. I have never in my entire life had any interest in cleaning my own home. Too busy when I was working and too lazy now!

House Cleaners

Six weeks ago I tried one cleaning service and wasn't overly impressed with them(used them twice). Two weeks ago I used UltraKleanz and was very pleased with the job they did. They will be back again this week. (Yeah). I agree with ladydoc - I have too many things going on in TV - I don't want to spend the time cleaning my house.

The best window cleaner is Desmond Harris. He just did all my windows last week, and they are sparkling. No wipe marks and they actually look like they have a protective coating on them. He and Jason do a great job. They also power washed my front entrance to get rid of mildew and dead bugs,,, I feel like I'm living in a hospital now... everything is immaculate. Try him, he sure is an outstanding worker and person.

Linda762 11-10-2011 04:09 PM

Yes I believe Ultra Kleanerz does windows.

House cleaning..

I have started using PAT EBBE from Settle In Style....352.207.5702.
She and her sister are in business together--and they are AWESOME! Her price is in the ball-park of other cleaning people that I have had---she cleans for me once a month until the job is finished.

grohn 02-15-2014 09:20 AM

I would love to know their name. I had a great gal and she moved out of state!
