need someone to unload us
 

We will be bringing a large truck to Tamarind village in mid Oct. We are looking for movers to unload our truck. Does anyone have movers or names in mind to contact?

I would ask my realtor, I'm sure they know a bevy of movers.

Also check Uhaul.com They have on their website a tool to find unloaders.

Thank you for the suggestions. You noticed it was our first entry. Hopefully we will get more comfortable and correspond this way for MANY other questions that will follow. Everyone must be indoors talking this way due to the rain.

I used The Village Movers to recently unload a POD. Good job and a flat rate. A little expensive as compared to others but they could get here when I needed them and they were fast and no damage. Also used them to move some furniture from one location in the villages to another.

We will be moving to Tamarind Grove at the same time. If you help us unload, we'll help you! :highfive: <kidding>

My mother moved to Tamarind Grove at the end of June and had The Village movers unload the UHaul truck we drove down for her. I agree with the assessment from nkrifats.

We're in the same situation .... awaiting delivery of a modular "Pod" this weekend. We have an arrangement with two men to unload @$50/hr. (for both). Since our job won't commence until Sunday, we obviously can't comment on quality, but we're comfortable with the arrangement.

We are moving down in late September in a Penske rental truck to Tamarind Grove. Found "Little John Movers" out of Ocala. The price seemed reasonable compared to some of the others mentioned. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with them. Thanks - Pat & Susan Hanley:undecided::undecided:

Did anyone receive an update as to how the move went using the two guys mentioned?

When Hubby brought some furniture and boxes here, we hired G and G Moving, based in Ocala. They did a fabulous job, were here on time, finished early and offered to help do whatever until there paid time was up. $53 for two guys for an hour plus $16 traveling fee. Worth every penny. I have finally learned in my old age that cheapest is not always the best way to make a decision. Get the best you can afford because if you don't you will not be happy with it.
