By the time you get together again I might be down in TV. I did give my notice at work and my last day is tomorrow. Our relo cube is coming in mid October and we should be down by Halloween. If y'all get together before mid October I would like to attend if it isn't too hectic here.

I'll let you know as soon as we get it organized! (and I am sooooo jealous!!) :)

Again thanks for organizing that dinner Trish. It was wonderful to meet all of you and liked all the ladies a lot. No grumps! Now I am 100% convinced I really need to get to The Villages ASAP!

It has been a long time coming. We started out with a LSP in 2006 and fell in love. We didn't really care for our assigned realtor but fell in love with TV. We have been down several times a year since viewing homes during open houses and just relaxing. We also wanted to see other communities before deciding on TV. I have experienced so much negativity from some coworkers about moving to TV it is amazing. They just don't get it. Well, I have to start getting ready for my last day at work here in Michigan.

Hi Trish, can Northern Michigan be included ? I would like to get together with everyone when I am down in TV....... Everyone looked like they had a good time..... I am sooo jealous, I wish I was there allready.....

Dreaming of the Villages
 

When I am having a day at work like today (frustrated), I just dream about the Villages. God only knows when I will be able to make the move but I will get there. I have the Patio Villa floor plan pinned to my cubical wall. It gets stared at a lot.

Liz, I hope you enjoy your last day of work. I am very jealous.

You ladies of southern Michigan look like you're had fun at dinner. Hope you can all get to TV really soon (or get back there if you have already purchased in TV). :wave:

Moving In
 

Darn- sorry I missed it. Still working in the city until Sept 9- last day. Hubbie up north on Sage LAke at summer home and I am hanging with family and friends in Royal Oak until move/retirement day . Have new home in Amelia Village that we bought 2 years ago and that day is finally here in 2.5 weeks!!!! Golf carts are ordered and we were down in April arranging new furniture and a fresh paint job. Can't wait to get there. Hope to find a MI group to cheer on the Tigers to the World Series!! :D

Last Day At Work
 

It was a fun last day. Nice party and funny gifts. They had a cake made with Michigan and TV. It is fun. Great to be done with working up here.

What kind of group is this and how does one go about meeting all of you fine michigan people? We are here in Michigan right now but will be going to our home in the Villages in late September.

This started as some what of a lark. Trish and I discovered that we lived in close proximity to each other and I joined both she and her husband at a wine tasting at Plum Market in West Bloomfield one night. That was meeting #1.

Then Trish uncovered a few more gals and the next thing you know we are all meeting for Dinner at Sweet Loraines in Southfield (meeting #2). There is no club or clique, just some gals who either already live there or are drooling to move there. I bet we do manage to meet again before the end of September. We will make sure you get the news on the particulars in case you would like to meet up with us.
