Where we are headed
 

In earlier post I read it was said that neither side of the political community can function this meaning that congress cant agree with each other to pass constructive legislation. The scary thing about that is this is how dictators begin their foot hold or control if you will. Hitler did this in a round about way and look where it got Germany. Folks if you see our current adminisration condeming congress as it is aready happening you better ban together and stop it because we will end up like Germany. Our president said when he was on his bus tour he blamed congress for our problems and as far as I can see that is the beginning. As I have said come up with a problem figure out a solution and implement the crissis. You get what ever you want from the people you lead. Dont be blind to this fact and this could happen with any lead not just the current and ot happens in other countries. You wont know what hit you. This is not a slame against Obama this just an obsevation I have seen over the years. Also look at Chevez he has elections but who always wins go figure.

On another thread I mentioned this illegal war we are in. Obama said we would only be engaging Libya for a few days not weeks.

This week makes 5 months of bombing innocent civilians estimated to be around 30,000. yet the mainstream media, Obama's water carriers, have barely yawned. Where is the outrage that this regime is bombing the heck out of Libya? THis man acts like a tyrant and should be voted out as promptly as possible, even if it is by impeachment.

This is one helluva a stretch! Our government is nothing like Germany's government and we are certainly not like 1930's Germany. In fact, our government is functioning just as it was designed....except for todays lack of give and take [compromise] to achieve solutions to the country's problems.

The latest debacle of the debt debate is a good example of an unwillingness to compromise, even given the potentially disastrous results. I personally believe both sides are at fault here, but we voted these people in office. If they aren't doing the job, we vote 'em out. That's what democracy is all about.

With all of the perceived problems we have in this country, it is still the best country in the world and people are trying to get here every day...even illegally, if that's the only way.

We all need to take a deep breath...nothing is as bad as it's made out to be in this forum.

What would you have the President do? Simply ignore the facts like the ********** held this country hostage so the taxes wouldn't be raised on the wealthy? It's liike how republicans HATE hearing how Obama inherited an economic disaster. Sorry but sometimes the truth is important. I remember hearing Sean Hannity say "now this economy is Obama's mess" after only six months in office. So, he should have fixed this huge problem in 6 months. I'm sure politically it's convient for republicans but it's not honest.

Bush, and the republicans, drove us into this ditch and then turned the keys over to Obama and now they're screaming he's not getting us out fast enough so we should elect another republican. :censored:

Think about this for a bit....an economic disaster coming and coming and here and the President of the United States does not even offer a budget or plan...at NO TIME ! Now he says there will be one after he wasted all the time on his ill founded and disasterous health care plan.

I had hopes when he had control of everything, that he might wake up from the movement to make his legacy and instead focus on the problems but not to happen.

Are you aware they named themselves ********** and was very proud of that name until people wanted to make it "distasteful"? It wasn't then and it isn't now... unless someone wants to make it so.

That is the name I first heard them use and that's how I originally knew them. It wasn't until later that it became "tawdry" by people making it that way. I have in fact referred to them as ********** belonging to the tea party. No offence meant....

The Tea Party stands for t=taxed, e=enough, a=already. It also is in referrence to the Boston Tea Party when colonial "americans" had decided that they had been taxed enough already. The boats in the Boston harbor held tea that was not coming ashore until the tax had been paid. The tea was thrown overboard, as a revolt to the King of England. The term tea ******* originated by critics of the Tea Party. It is Highly doubtful that the tea thrown overboard was in bags. Our little Lipton tea bags came along much later...Sorry for the history lesson, but necessary to prove the point.

Moderator I think you have done a wonderful job. Your presence is much appreciated and you have my total cooperation, respect and admiration.
