HVAC air filter

The central air filter in my new home is 19 X 20 X 4.

Went to Lowes and HD - no luck. Anyone know where to find one? Price?

thanks

Russ, I've had the best luck finding our furnace filters on the internet. eBay and Amazon are good places to start.

Bill :)

From another thread on the topic.

cheapest so far is a 2-pack for $55 plus $8 shipping. That makes it $31.50. Source: Shorty's HVAC Supplies.

Hey Russ, Just talked to our air company this morning and noted the size of the filter is the same as yours. She said it is good for one year (we will see) and that a replacement is around $50 bucks. I am going to shop around in a while looking for one but hoping an aftermarket will show up at Lowes or HD in the near future. I will let you know if I find one elsewhere. Seems that size is becoming the standard, so replacements should not be too far behind at the big box stores. Good luck finding one.

do a Google search on the size and air filter. There are a ton of places selling them on the Internet.

We have an odd-ball size in our condo. We have been getting them from Filters-NOW.com, usually order several at a time.

I got a case of 6 , and the price was free. Thank God for my nephew in Georgia.

That was my first thought. Tried to find exact fit and could not find any - anywhere.

actual size is 19 1/16 X 19 13/16 X 4 5/16.

If anyone has a link to one they've purchased in this size I would appreciate the link.

There is a fellow with a booth at the Market of Marion on Rt 441 near Belleview. He will custom cut any size you want.

I get mine here as well...the have merv 8 and merv 11. The filters measure a little different from the sizes that fit. Ours was 4 3/8 but the 5 inch is what it actually takes.

Thanks everyone - found what I need.

Ace Hardware

Did you try Ace Hardware at Spanish Springs?

JeffBorn 11-19-2011 01:11 AM

Please tell the rest of us where you found your filter. Munns in Lady Lake has them for $50 each.

filtersamerica.com

About $50 for 2, delivered . I used this company --the size was slighly off but fit

Also I just found them at ACE hardware on 466 for $25

Wow, 19x20x4" ? Word gets out, they will not stay on shelves very long.

There was an ad in the paper a while back for Filters USA, and that's where I got mine. Two of their brand filters that fit our Carrier model, (4.5 x 4.5 x 20?), with shipping and tax were $59.21. Used the discount code "The Villages". Filtersusa.com

Thanks Larry.

Has anyone talked to the filter guy in Markets of Marion? I like the idea but wasn't sure about the quality. He makes a metal frame to exact fit and then you buy replacement filer pads for much less.
