Another grade on Obama's USA report card:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44423519...1#.TmfDf0e0aSo

Falling from #1 in 2008 to now #5.

Per the saying things get worse before they get better....we certainly are well on our way.

We really cannot afford to keep Obama or ANY of the current congress in office.

What do you expect when you have a leader that doesn't think his own country(If he really is a US citizen) is exceptional? Every move he has made was designed to bring the USA down to the lowest common denominator. If he gets re-elected, it will put the final nail in our coffin.

He WON"T get re-elected. People that bought his BS last election are seeing exactly how incompetent he is.

Excellent column in today's NY Post on how Obama tried to be all things to all people and failed at it all. A great read for anyone who'd like a succinct analysis of "what the heck happened".

Ummm.. The article says that Switzerland retained the top spot for the third consecutive year. We fell from the top spot in 2008 - *on Bush's watch*.

But rather than get into the Bush/Obama argument, I'd rather talk about or highlight the other point - that *Switzerland* - a high-tax, public health-care, generally-lots-of-things-today's-GOP-hates country is the reigning champ. One notable thing is that Switzerland is NOT part of the Euro. They still get to make their own policies.

I ALMOST posted "I hope and pray that you are right" and changed my mind because I knew that this is the kind of response I would get. Geeze...you sound like one angry man.

Not angry at all.....just tired of politicians talking about God as though he was a member of a particular party...or that he somehow favors America over all other countries.
Don't think God much cares either about who wins a particular sporting event. :cus:

We are praying for the citizens of this great country and to have our misery taken out of office. Do not vote for Barry Obama.

Oh, get a grip. People with God in their heart often invoke his name to hope that hardship or inconvenience doesn't occur.

Example: "I pray it doesn't rain today, I've a golf round with the guys I don't want to miss"----Would you say "You think God cares about golf, and lambast the speaker?

Just think about it.

Village golfer,I venture a guess that I have read more history books than most and I still do not see a correlation between the USA and exceptionalism. Please explain what makse us exceptional and other countries just ordinary,I really want to know, please educate me.

Whose history did you read?

First Man on the Moon.

Saved Europe in WWII

Most innovative inventions

Greatest Navy

Greatest Army

Marines

Greatest jets and airplanes

Elvis

Hollywood

New York City

And that is just from the top of my head....

Please elucidate, if you can. I can see no big difference in these two cases of asking for God's intervention. What's the difference?

Did you say hallucinate? I can do that. :cus:
Seriously, people say things like you used for an example all the time. Thank god I didn't go in the sand trap, thank god it didn't rain today. Those are harmless.
But their are other examples, Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann come to mind who use references to God, either because they really believe what they say or are too naive to know better. I'd choose the latter. Bachmann backing off and saying it she was talking metaphorically when she said the hurricane was a message from God doesn't cut it. I believe she really meant that. I want a President who acts with logic and reality.
With regard to sports, I can't give specific examples but you and I have both heard athletes say in interviews "All glory goes to God" "God was with us today"
I happen to love the Green Bay Packers.....I doubt God has anything to do with any of their victories through history. I don't make myself real clear on this....but you get the gist. :cus:

I do understand what you're saying. I'm just wondering if the fact that someone is asking God (seriously or not) to do something you don't agree with is the real issue that you have with it.

Well , it is your prerogative to respect a community organizer who has never held a real job in his life. A "man" who has never had a private sector job. A thug who threatens people who disagree with his ideals.

Don't you guys get sick of using the same old bull**** "mean-spirited?"

Mean spirited is what you liberals use to discredit women. It is shameful how you treat women candidates.:ohdear:

ND might have God on their side, but they are just not capable of hiring the right coach. Even God needs something to work with! Or maybe the dismal experience of being an ND fan is God's way of keeping some people humble. I know it has had that effect on me!:undecided:
