Airport Parking

We are flying out of Orlando Airport for a short trip. Can anyone tell me what parking arrangments are at the Orlando airport?

red tail 11-20-2011 07:43 AM

the most convenient method is thru the sun pass aisle. no ticket or stopping. just frive in and out.....
the bad news is its $17.00 a day
if you want cheap then its a shuttle bus ride.

Parking

Consider Park and Fly at area hotels. We are staying at Comfort Suites on McCoy Rd.Price includes room overnight, 7days parking and shuttle service to and from the airport. This is not the only hotel which offers this service so shop around.

Check the Marriot. I found a real good deal there last summer for a week. Free 5-minute shuttle to the airport.

Bogie Shooter 11-20-2011 08:21 AM

I use www.parkingspot.com. At holiday time it makes sense to reserve a spot for $5.

We use FastPark their lot is very close to the airport. They have covered parking that is a plus in FL. The shuttles to the airport are quick and may add 15 min. to your arrival at the airport. They give you a card with your space number and when you return there is a shuttle waiting to take you to your car. We have used the $17.00 parking at the airport but found it a long walk to and from the car. With fastpark the shuttle goes from baggage claim to right behind your car. Complimentry newspaper on arrival at the lot, and bottled water when you depart. Join the rewards program even if you will only use it once it saves time at check in. $6.34 per day. Check the site. http://www.thefastpark.com/location/orlando/

$4.95 just to reserve the space then $8.95 per day to park open air. $11.95 a day for covered parking.

EMan.... thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize FastPark was now at Orlando. We used them at BWI quite a bit.

We have used parking spot and park/bark/fly here at MCO and generally just use whoever has the best deal at the time. These places that pick you up at your car, schlep your bags, and deliver you back to your car work best for us.

Will have to dig around and see if our old account with fastpark is still active.

after taxes its $7.50 plus tips coming and going.....shuttle waits, uncovered parking....unless you are parking for an extended time it seems the savings at these off airport lots are not such a great thing.

Plus AAA discount.

I have a reservation to park at XPress Airport Parking from Monday late afternoon until Friday afternoon and the cost is $25.07, including a $2.00
reservation fee.
First time I will have used it as I think it is a new facility but the price is right.
Its on Butler National Drive.

gage405 11-20-2011 09:32 AM

I haved also used Payless Parking and find their prices very reasonable.

buggyone 11-20-2011 08:39 PM

I use Park, Bark, and Fly. Go to their website and get one of their loyalty cards. Cost will be $5.99 per day including tax. The free shuttle bus to the airport runs 24/7.

im talking garage parking is $17. you parked in the outer red and blue lots which require a shuttle and is $10

Mudder 11-21-2011 09:08 AM

The Marriot is easy and inexpensive. We use it all the time...our car is there now !

rtime 11-21-2011 10:28 AM

Which Marriot do you use?

gage405 11-21-2011 11:05 AM

I have used the Marriott also. And I agree it is cheap. You just have
to know that the shuttle to and from the airport runs on a schedule.
It is either every half hour or every 45 minutes. So, you have to factor that
time in to your anticipated arrival at the airport.

It might be a little cheaper than the off-airport sites but you dont get
the shuttle running every few minutes.

Also, you probably should tip the doorman who makes you an exit
key card. So, one extra tip there.

red tail 11-21-2011 11:32 AM

the GOAA parking lots are patrolled by airport operations people plus the airport division of the orlando police. im not sure the inconvience and minimal savings are really worth off port parking. the outer airport lots are $10 with no tipping required vs off port parking at $6 plus tipping. youre saving maybe the price of a big mac in the food court. your car is much closer and protected.
the old 'penny wise and dollar foolish' comes into play.

Kelsie52 11-21-2011 03:30 PM

I have used payless parking several times --$7 a day --quick shuttle pick up and drop off ----

Happinow 11-22-2011 07:29 PM

Airport shuttle

Has anyone take TV shuttle to the airport? Where do they pick you up to go to the airport, at your home? If not, where do we leave our car to be picked up? It seems like a no hassle ride. The drive to the airport kinda stinks. Any thoughts? Thanks.
