Any Villagers from Rockford Illinois??
 

My husband are recent fulltime Villagers. We are wondering if there are any ther villagers from Rockford, Illinois, or the surrounding areas? I thought this was the best way to reach people to answer this question!

Not I but I have been looking to find a classmate from Rockford, named Lucy Price. She would be over 55 now. have you heard of her. She was the onlly girl in a family of all boys. She was very very nice.

There are many people at New Covenant Methodist Church from Rockford. We were raised in Cary.

Do you mean New Covenant Church here in The Villages? I am new here and do not know that church.

Whartenjelly--Is Lucy in The Villages? Matbe you mean you think she might still be in Rockford. I don't know her, and I lived there the last 25 years, but that doesn't mean she isn't there. How long since you have known her? Have you checked Whitepages.com? Or googled her name?

I spent my first 51 yrs. in Rockford/Rockton until I moved here 7 yrs ago. Retired after 33 yrs. with the police dept. Haven't been back in 7 yrs and these have been the best 7 yrs of my life. What a place!

My hisband and I met another man from Rockford, and we were exploring the idea of starting a Rockford group. Would you be interested? Just maybe a monthly potluck or something. We also met a couple from Winnebago.

We are not from Rockford but we were campground hosts for three months from March through June of 2008 in Roscoe, Illinois at Honanega Campground.

Would Sterling Rock Falls area be considered in the Rockford area? Both of us graduated from RockFalls High School, but raised our kids in Sterling.....moved to Orlando area after the kids graduated High School...just moved to TV in August....

We would love to meet you. We are moving to a patio villa in Amelia Villas, Summerhill next week.

Welcome to the Villages! We also live in Summerhill.

We had a cottage in Lake Summerset for years but sold over 10 years ago.

Lake Summerset is really pretty, I'm told.

oh, there are several of us.....yes, lets get together at Crispers next week, we close on Tuesday, and then I am taking my son's cat to him in California. I'll be home on Dec. 8......we'll make some plans!

Oh, and we know another couple from Sterling who own in Summerhill on Shelby St. but they only come down in the wintertime

My wife and I live in Rockton IL near Williams Tree farm. We bought a home in Tamarind Grove but won't be full timers for several years. She is retired but I have 5-6 years to go. Love coming down to the Villages and hope to meet all the Rockford area folks some time.
