Member Levels

Just curious about the member levels (posted directly under the screen name). Is there a listing of the various levels posted somewhere ?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all

Good question. I believe someone is a junior member if that person has under 30 posts. After that I'm not sure at what number of posts one moves up to the next level.

I don't know if there is an actual list, but if you go to the blue bar at the top of the page, select "Community" then chose "Members list", you can sort the list by "Number of posts" and get a good idea of the different levels by scrolling through the list. Time will tell if there's a better way!

RichieB 11-24-2011 03:00 PM

Thank you, skyguy79; that was very useful.

You are correct about the 30 posts.

Thank you.

graciegirl 11-24-2011 03:53 PM

I have forgotten the rest of the levels but I speak from experience.

Anybody with over 8000 posts is an idiot.

Or a little OCD...or has too much time on their hands.

Congratulations, Gracie.

I'm sure you have been helpful to many people.

It was your achieving 8000 posts that triggered the question about the member levels.

I don't agree with you about being an idiot! But if you are - as you say - a so-called idiot, you're our so-called idiot and if that leads to your losing your mind, I can assure you that we aren't gonna let those nice young men in their clean white coats come to take you away... ho-ho he-he ha-ha.....! :loco:

Are you trying to bait me, GracieGirl, to give out The SWIMDAWG Post of the Day Award....early?

I don't want to get reprimanded......from "someone" who was upset that I gave the award away too early the other day. So I'll hold off.....for now.

Here are the current levels -

0 Post = Jr Member
30 Posts = Member
100 Posts = Sr Member
500 Posts = Veteran Member
1000 Posts = Gold Member
1500 Posts = Platinum Member
2000 Posts = Soaring Eagle Member
2500 = Sage Member

These are the levels the founding members established. With Gracie's 8,000 post we may need to 'modify' these levels!

It just popped into my head... why not make 8000 post's level "Graceland" in honor of she who had gone where no one has gone before?

{Anyone hear the Star Trek theme playing in the background?}

Seems like there's a need for further breakdowns past 2,500 posts.

I noticed that KateZBox has 1,508 postings, and is labeled as a "Golden Sunrise Member". I've noticed other variations. KathieI is "Dancing Thyme". Boomer is "Soaring Parsley". StevefromNY is an "Eternal Member". How do those happen? Thank you -

A bit of frivolity on the part of the former Admins for Boomer and Kathie.

I know that "Eternal Member" is a member that is now deceased. Don't know about the others.

I could have sworn that I saw this listed somewhere on this site when I first joined, but have not been able to find it since. Anyway, thanks for posting this.

Since this was last posted in 2011, maybe there are others out there wondering the same thing that could benefit from this post being up near the top of the list for a little while.

There are a surprising lot of members who have never posted

2BNTV 02-03-2013 07:01 AM

A vote for expanding the membership levels past 2500 posts.

There are several memeber past 5000 posts.

Suggestions:

4000 - Power Poster
5000 - Super Poster
7500 - ???????
10000- ???????
15000 - Champion

Golf-Tinker 02-03-2013 10:26 AM

Why Not Drop All Levels?

Perhaps, if levels were not assigned, we might witness less "I Agree" posts.

Hi Grace,
I enjoy reading your posts… and realize that fifteen months later you got over 10000 posts! Glad I never got the impression you have OCD
Cheers and all the best!

She sure blew by me like a speed boat against a row boat. Did not she was rapidly gaining on me from quite a ways off.
