Larry G. from The Solar Guys installed 2 solar tubes in 2 bathrooms in our home last week. The whole experience was very positive from meeting with Josh in the showroom and Larry doing the install. He arrived as promised and completed the job in less than 2 hours. He positioned the solar tubes in the best possible location. We are very pleased and highly recommend The Solar Guys.

During our major renovation, we had Solar Guys install four solar tubes in our house (bothroom, closet, kitchen and laundry room). Larry did an excellent job. We highly recommend this contractor.

I love these guys & highly recommend them. Had 2 solar tubes put in & the rooms are so bright. Also had them block the light in to rooms to keep the heat out.

Had two solar tube install as well as an attic exhaust fan.They got the permits came and did the install, cleaned up after them self and was gone in 2 and a half hours. Great job guys and i will call you again of i need your services.

Is there a "ballpark" cost for installing a single solar tube in a CYV?

The simple answer is we do not charge any extra for different home types. However, there are several other factors that do affect the price (ex. roof type and roof pitch). If you would like to private message me with your specific scenario I can try and help you further. Thanks!

I got a tube and a solar heater put in by them. The price was very fair and the service was great!

I had two solar tubes installed, and all I say is WOW!

I am impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work. I was given very good advice by my installer, (Tim), and I am very happy, I had this done.

It's so good, that I have to catch myself, when I am thinking, I need to shut off the light in the kitchen. I also don't have to turn on lights, except for the nighttime. I sure the cost savings of electicity, will ever cover the cost of having the solar tubes installed, but what a difference it makes for darkened area's of the home.:smiley:

I might have another one installed, over my reading area, but I have to wait for my furniture arrival to see where exactly, is the best place.

Can you give me an idea of the cost? I'd like to have them put in my bathrooms and closet.

My two solar lights cost $1440 exactly with tax included. One tube had a 14" opening, that I had connected to a light switch, with a opti type covering for my kitchen area. The other was a 10" again with the opti covering. I would say that it will cost you about $1849, if don't have the better coverings and not connected to a light switch. You probably need only the 10" type openings but they will advise you on all the options. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't even bother going to their showroom and go straight to an appointment as they are trustworthy. They won't push you on anything. I would have it done correctly the first time, but that's me.

The opti type lens looks like crystal and it is beautiful. IMHO

Tim from The Solar Guys installed 2 tube lights (1 10" and 1 14") and a solar attic fan for us yesterday. He did an excellent job and it only took him about 3 hours. The solar tubes really made a difference, we don't even need to turn on the lights anymore in the daytime. Great job. Total cost was $1,834 for those asking.

I would just make an apointment for an installation as it should be a couple of weeks, before an installation date can be established.They will show you what is available. That is, if your absolutely sure you want solar tubes installed. You may have them in time for Xmas. :smiley:

You've been so helpful! I greatly appreciate it. I'm so anxious to get back there. I am scheduled to arrive Christmas night. Wish I could have it done for NYE. I think we will have to wait until maybe the end of January.

One of my solar tube lenses had yellowed and one quick call to Solar Guys was all I needed. They stood in back of their guarantee 100% and with no hassel at all, sent Larry G to my house and replaced 2 feet of tube, lens, and diffuser at no cost to me.
