TV Christmas Tradition: a parade plus junk food and candy

According to the Daily Sun, America's Healthiest Hometown is having a Christmas parade today. It "will include Chick-fil-A, Bobalou's BBQ, Good Tyme Kettlecorn and Hadley family concessions." Also, if it's like past parades, as the parade passes, they will throw handfuls of candy to the kids.

ilovetv 12-10-2011 12:02 PM

It's none of your damn business what people decide on their own volition to buy at the fast food sponsor booths!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boudicca 12-10-2011 12:05 PM

Yep we were there, ate the "stuff", got candy thrown at us and absolutely LOVED the parade! FABULOUS!

Golf cart traffic getting out not so much.....

rubicon 12-10-2011 03:05 PM

Well i can see from all of the posts that you have been naughty boys and girls and have not taken the White House's agenda on what you can and cannot eat seriously.

As Erma Bombeck once said, "Just think some women waved off the desert cart just before the Titanic sank." Now those are words to live by and so the next time you get a sweet tooth...what you do with it is up to you and your doctor and not the White House

Yea! Yea! Yea! Good for you: GracieGirl, Memason, Bombero, Whalen, ilovetv, shrandell, Trish Crocker, TommyT.

No chocolates for Villages PL on February 14th.

batman911 12-10-2011 03:46 PM

Maybe they could throw lumps of coal for those that do not like Christmas candy ;-).

marybb 12-10-2011 03:52 PM

Poor Mr. Grinch, just doesn't get it.

jblum315 12-10-2011 04:02 PM

I like Baker's chocolate; there's no sugar added. This way you get all the antioxidants without the calories and free radicals created by sugar. You might think it's a little bitter but I like it. Bitter is better. :) You can add some to your oatmeal in the morning. Yummm!!

:)

DEAR VILLAGESPL.

I know you meant it for our own good...but Christmas only comes once a year and our years to look forward to..well, they are fewer.

Merry Christmas from my heart Villagespl and forgive me for my harsh sounding but not meant to be mean answer.
