Gingrich reams John King and the liberal media and the crowd goes wild
"despicable" John King of CNN opened his questioning of the latest CNN Republican candidate presidential primary debate by summarizing the issue of Newt's bitter ex-wife's challenged allegations about their long ago marriage, and Newt Gingrich blasted him with both barrels and then scalped him for good measure.
The crowd gave Gingrich multiple standing ovations as he belittled Mr. King and his feeble defense, and castigated the networks. It was beautiful. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sh...presidential-d |
Newt has been around Washington long enough to know that a good defense is a good offense.
Newt could not answer the question regarding his philandering (naturally) so he turns the table and says it is terrible to bring it up. Oh, boo-hoo, Newt. That is certainly not the only time his moral terpitude is going to be questioned. He is a slimeball. |

Newt kicked butt and took no names. Even if true I'd take Newt with his questionable relationship problems over the current president with his questionable Americanism problems. |

Newt has the brass. The brass is needed. Not campfire girls.

I will take anyone on that stage over our current President. There MUST be a change and ever so quickly. This President has superceded all my fears about him and his total and evident lack of any experience for this job. Yep, after watching him for the last few years, it is my opinion that President Obama would make a very weak Senator. |

I don't know the truth of the matter between Newt and his wife and don't pretend you do. Newt congratulated King?; of course he did; Newt is polite. I know it's a foreign concept to the liberals. (I don't know what you consider yourself) |

At this point in time I'm more in support of Santorum than the guy you favor, but in the end I hope we can coalesce behind the final candidate. |

RichieLion~ Judging from the titles of your numerous new threads today, I missed a heck of a good time by not watching the debate! Thanks for the recap/highlights!

The public perception is that the media is bias and often inaccurate in their reporting.
A 20101 Pew Research Center survey posted the following: 77% of Americans believe news outlets are biased 66% believe news stories are inacccurate The erosion of journalistic ethics eroded well before bloggers, et al In 1985 55% believed reporting was accurate but in 10 years it dropped to 35% and today is now at 25% In 1985 50% believed news organization were biased. 10 years later it was 675 and today it is down to77% So I don't blame Newt for the manner in which he addressed this reporter. clearly it was to damage Newt. We dont know what happened between these two and frankly I have always ignored drawing opinion about other people's personal lives. I do believe at this point that Newt is the only candidate who can bury Obama and will repeal ObamaCare, grow the economy and reset our defense and foreign policies. and right now that is what my family, my country and I need and i am not going to let any news organiztion caused me to lose focus with silliness |
Gingrich showed his gravitas, knowledge and oratory skill last night, and he could possibly win South Carolina, but Romney is not done yet.
Romney is skilled and unflappable, and unlike Gingrich, Romney is in this race more for love of country and a desire to get in there under the hood and fix it, than for just a desire to acquire more power. This is one of the many things that makes Romney a great leader: http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=g1kotsFYizs |

At least the losers of Rick Perry, Michelle the Mouth, and Huntman have left the national stage and crawled back to the rocks from which they crept.
Ron-NutBar has no chance of getting the GOP nomination and very well might run on his own ticket. Gingrich will destroy himself soon by being Mr. Mean. The press is going to castigate him. He is just a slimeball, anyhow. Santorum is the local Jesus freak who thinks that the US should not have ordinary birth control products available to the public. It was really comical to hear his answers on that in the previous "debate". He was trying so hard to say "only by a doctor's orders for the safety of the mother" but could not get it out of his mouth correctly. PHARMA is going to fight him over the issue of contraceptives. That leaves Mitt. Well, better than the others but still not a winner. |

Newt asked his former wife to honor his request for an "open-marriage". Exactly what did he mean by that? Read the link I have posted on the subject - and it shows again what a slimeball that Newt is. Oh yeah, she was suffering from a serious medical condition at the time.
Good going, Newt. The wife is seriously ill, cannot "perform" to your perverted satisfactions, so you go out and find a younger, prettier thang. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...nhDQ_blog.html |
Rubicon,a question...just what is newt going to do to "reset our defense and foreign policies? What is wrong with them now? How have they failed? Maybe I missed it but I don't remember him talking about concrete plans.

What a hate-fest from you libs. It's hilarious and sad.

I made a general statement, and you in your apparent obsession with things I post (thank you for your interest) decided to take it upon yourself to chastise me even though I only mentioned "generic" liberals and not you in any context. I naturally assume you must be a liberal evidenced by your discomfort to my posting. NOW, you call me a jackass. Way to go big guy. You feel better now? You think you raised people's opinion of you? As I said once before. You just demean yourself. |

Sarcasm is a time honored debate strategy. You being overly sensitive to any criticism, which is mostly generic, does not make me "hateful". I mean to hit a nerve when I post. But uncontrolled public anger is not my problem, but yours. |

Hey Eweissenbach and Villager II, let's all be careful and not banter around words like "hateful" or "jackass". Our fellow posters on this forum, for the main part, are real decent guys just like us. Some are misguided in their views and think in the Republican mindset but that is no reason to call them names. Save the name-calling for their candidates who do not have a clue.
On a personal level, the few posters I have had the opportunity of meeting, I have found them all to be very nice guys and most have a sarcastic sense of humor - just like I do. RichieLion does not try to crawl under your skin like a few others did to me and then I did retaliate - not to my well-being. He like to jab and jibe but mostly have a good time. He is very good natured on most subjects. Best yet, he prefers bar-brand bourbon instead of name-brand. Sorry, RichieLion if I let it out that you are a real decent guy instead of the weird guy at the end of the street with the Ann Coulter blow-up doll. |

Good going, John Edwards. The wife is seriously ill, cannot "perform" to your perverted satisfactions, so you go out and find a younger, prettier thang. Good going, Bill Clinton. The wife cannot, won't, or doesn't "perform" to your perverted satisfactions, so you go out and find a younger, prettier thang. Shall I go on? |
Yes, Katz, please do go on with your list. Bill Clinton and John Edwards are not running for President at this time. Newt aka The Slimeball is running to be the presidential candidate.
Trying to deflect will work. Isn't that tactic taken out of your copy of Mein Kampf when Germany's troubles were being deflected upon the Jewish people? |
