Thanks, I'd rather take a sharp stick to the eye.

Are you trying to say Cain is a moderate.............hmmm, yeah OK

Guest 01-25-2012 08:27 PM

I watched Mitch Daniels' response, I don't need to hear what the koch brothers have to say.

It just that you're awful judgmental about hearing other points of view for someone who claims no allegiance to anyone.

I haven't listened to Cain's response yet either, but defaming him as a tool doesn't seem sporting to me.

Not really my business, but you do lean a bit it appears.

You post just sounded so much like the expected take from the rabid left here.

Guest 01-25-2012 08:49 PM

Why would anyone do that? :cus:

Guest 01-25-2012 09:37 PM

It has to be racism that makes people loathe Herman Cain.

Yeah, it couldn't be his ludicrous 9-9-9 plan, or his infidelities, or his being a mouthpiece for the very white, and very slimy, koch brothers.

Guest 01-25-2012 09:56 PM

I guess it would be better to be a mouthpiece for a wwell respected guy like, say..oh! Bill Ayers?

Guest 01-25-2012 10:28 PM

9-9-9 , oh give me a freankin' break, already. Herman Cain proved he is a L-O-S-E-R. Yes, that is spelled LOSER, for you Republicans.

Guest 01-25-2012 11:34 PM

I'm Nervous About This

Who are the Koch brothers backing now that Herman hit the skids?

They surely want to put their money with a candidate who is somewhere out there on the far right of Genghis Kahn. But who would that be? I've lost track of where the Koch brothers are operating. That makes me nervous.

Guest 01-26-2012 06:36 AM

Does it make you nervous where the likes of Bill Ayers (former WEATHERMAN) are current operating?

Guest 01-26-2012 07:14 AM

Again, the GOP shows it's no better.

Reading a transcipt of their response to the SotU address, I caught the line complaining that Obama wanted to even control the lightbulbs we buy.

...except that legislation was passed in 2007 and signed by president Bush.

It's like you can't believe a single word coming out of anyone's mouth (from either party) once they get inside the Beltway. If they told me the sky was blue I'd look up.

I don't believe Bill Ayers has hundreds of billions of dollars to buy elections like the Koch brothers.

Guest 01-26-2012 10:13 AM

to compare Ayers to the Koch Bros. is not a viable comparison. I do understand tea Party members supporting the Koch billionaires, thats where they get most of their money.

Guest 01-26-2012 10:16 AM

It's a crazy thing in our free capitalist society when people are more frightened of the dealings of businessmen than with radical communists trying to change the face of this country.

This jealousy of yours is how our liberty will die.

Guest 01-26-2012 11:22 AM

At least one of your uber-conservatives was on the forum griping about the $68 million that Bill Clinton has earned from speeches since leaving office.

Silly comparison. The koch brothers are an admittedly big influence and financial backers of cain. Long ties to Koch brothers key to Cain’s campaign - The Washington Post

Ayers was an acquaintence of Obama, who apparently had little to no influence over him, and certainly provided no appreciable financial backing.

Ayers doesn't have the money that the Koch brothers have, but George Soros does. Guess who he supports.

As a recollect reading Bill Ayers was directly responsible, in that he encouraged Obama to write his book and in fact assisted Obama throughout its creation.

Bill Ayers lived closely to Obama in chicago and had a major influence regarding Obama's politics,it just that neither will admit it for the obvious reason, pretty much the same way Rev Wright only played a small part in Obama's life. That's why next to Obama, Cain appears to be a moderate. Its all relative isn't it.

I attempted to point out on this forum, what you say about his associations over the years and was pooh poohed by all. I am not sure what folks expected President Obama to be after reading about his training and associates.

You're quite gullible about Ayers, Obama's reported political mentor, in who's house Obama began his political career.

I really enjoy your defense of Obama though.

Reported political mentor? Reported by whom, limbaugh, beck, or some other respected journalist? Another of those silly accusations that birthers and other right wingers throw around to avoid talking about real issues. Yep, I defended obama, just as I would defend anyone who was being attacked unjustly. I have stated my dislike for newt, cain, and bachman, just as I would express my dislike for kucinich or sharpton if they were running on the democratic side. If that makes me a liberal in your eyes, I couldn't care less. By the way, if the republicans insist on nominating newt, I will either vote for obama or a third party candidate and there are millions more like me I believe.

I already cast you as an Obama vote. It's no surprise to me.

Unjustly?; just too funny. What I said are facts, not opinions.

Your baseless attacks on all things "conservative" says volumes. I don't care about you affiliations, I really don't. Buggy, waynet and the others are just more honest and upfront about it.

oooooo; good one. You really scored with that one, wow.

Here's some reading about the guy you're protecting from scurrilous conservatives, if you care to expand your thinking a bit.

I even included a video, because I've discovered that a liberal's attention span is more suited to that medium.

You misunderstood "independent thinking". It wasn't a plea to send several links to right wing propoganda, but nice try. Sorry if I bruised your unjustifiably large ego, but I calls 'em as I see's 'em.

No bruised ego here. You don't have what it takes for that to happen. I see your personal shots as an argument surrendered. When you got nuttin' to say...........

edweissenbach: Ronald Reagan implemented policies that pulled us from economic turmoil. He said the problem with government is that" if it moves tax it". "If it keeps moving regulate it". and "if he stops moving subsidize it". Obama has done all three and wants to expand on this philosophy. You may want to reconsider your position regarding Obama. Obama is the epitome of the "artful dodger" His record of of peddling misinformation is well known. His history with recalcitrants has been well established. His study of Saul Alinsky legendary. He doesn't respond as a president. He responds as a community organizer. Obama's practice and the expansion of czars is hs attempt to bypass Congress. Any other individual could never get away with this but we have people like Chris Matthews who fawn over this guy.

I just saying...............

Thanks Rubi, you generally post intelligent and convincing arguments and I appreciate that. I think you are a bit overzealous in your opposition to obama, and have bought into some of the far right misconceptions, but your belief is your belief and I respect that. I am not a supporter of Obama, but if the only other choice is newt, I will not, and cannot pull that trigger. Obama has not been as ineffective or morally compromised, as the right would paint him, nor has he been as effective as his supporters would have you believe. I have said before he wasted his first year, his enormous political capital, and his friendly congress, focusing on a health care bill that served to please no one. We aren't to November yet, so we'll see what happens.
