I was wondering who the Morse clan would endorse and then Sweetie showed me this morning's paper.

there is no question who the Morse's support. Gary and Romney are personal friends. When Romney visits TV and is here overnight he usually stays at the Morse residence.

During the 2008 campaign one of the Morses (Gary I think???) was chairman of Romney's finance committee.

I got to get there early to ask Gov Romney why he passed the health care bill in MA that included the individual mandate. Also, why MA was the first state in the country to allow same-sex marriages while he was governor. I also want to know if any of his sons will be enlisting in the military when he goes to war in Iran. And why does he want to raise taxes on people at the bottom while cutting them for people at the very top.

I told my friends to prepare for romney's visit becasue the !% support the 1% It was one of the reasons I did not vote for romney. Also ask him about Murdoch's claim that Romney is afraid to disclose his financial records because if he did people would really be upset. romney is not liable becaue he is robotic and serves only the 1%/Republican establishment

I saw on TV that the war in Iraq has ended while President Obama was commander-in-chief. I also saw on TV that there is a big welcome home the troops parade tomorrow at noon in St Louis. I also remember hearing Obama call the Iraq war a "dumb war" as early as 2004, before he was a US Senator. I am not wasting my time looking up links to this info; you are smart guys and can find it.

I never professed to say anything about the number of troops deployed. All I said was President Obama gets us out of wars. Gov Romney is all for a war with Iran.

They can be manipulated, interpreted, and twisted to be whatever the presenter wants them to be. Many of you are so fond of your links, but they rarely produce anything other than some writer or bloggers opinion, supported by questionable facts, studies, and statistics. If you think you are doing important work and bringing enlightenment to the masses by posting on a message board, you are delusional. What can I really say to that nonsence. The stated position of the Obama Administrtion is that they are taking nothing off the table in relation to their preventing Iran from building a nuclear warhead. I don't see the position of a Romney Administion being any different.
This country will rue the day that we failed to support the protest in Iran after their crooked election. History will look unkindly at President Obama for failing to act in any way, even by moral support.

I suppose in some ways you are totally correct. Those who slam the source have that right...I dont use internet sites that much but if anyone read the article it was based on a study by The Defense Manpower Data Center and I can find no reason to debunk them.

It also validates what I know....ie this President, while lambasting our past President has continues most, if not all, of his policies in this area. Secondly, some one mentions Iraq and should be reminded that while President Obama is holding the office, the timeline used was developed by and published by the previous President.

I just want to add that I supply links most times because I think it is incumbent on someone who makes a claim to post a validation of how they arrived at that conclusion. Different from voicing your opinion but if you say something about somebody and it is based on facts, you should post where others can find those facts.

I might also add that it is not my intention to change anybodys mind. I have used this forum to LEARN by reading links...by LISTENING to others opinions, etc. Lately however, it is simply people making fun of anyone who disagrees with them instead of discussing the substance of WHY they dont agree. It can, despite your negativity, have an impact on your thinking. We have for example a regular poster with whom I disagree A LOT however he has a base of knowledge in finance that I do not possess thus I have learned much from his posts, all of which I research to validate, and have had my opinion swayed. How rich is Romney? Add up the wealth of the last eight presidents, then double that number.

People in the media have an obligaton to police themselves. There was poltical bias and a liberal interpretation of editorial license before the net . Now most people receive e-information which can be manipulated without anyone even being the wiser. And I haven't even mentioned the affect ratings have on these news groups.

If the powers to be in the media indiustry don't police themselves we are all headed for a major catastrophe because no information is much better than misinformation. The news people,have a moral imperative to challenge all candidates positions concerning their political actitvities and ignore their personal lives.

I don't care how much money Romney earned but I do care to know if the earnings were derivied from honest efforts.

The news people are contributing to turning us into a banana republic. We need to speak out

They might welcome Gingrich, but I'd bet a lot of money that any Democrat, even the President of the United States, would not be welcomed to The Villages.

I think that President Obama would be welcomed here. Back in '08 Caroline Kennedy gave a speech at the Savannah Center without incident. Also Biden rolled through Spanish Springs.

That's a bit of a naive and silly thought. I don't think anyone would dare turn away the President. The Villages would touch that bad publicity with a 10 foot pole.

I thought about going to protest at the Gingrich "rally" today but it is too nice a day to waste with Gingrich and the few insipid fans of his that will show. I will be pulling some weeds in my flower beds instead of looking at other kinds of pests that are being weeded out.
