Anyone Else not Receiving TOTV Email Notifications?
 

For approximately two weeks I have not received the email notifications that I used to receive letting me know that I had a personal message and/or that someone had posted on a thread to which I had subscribed.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I have done the following:

1. Checked my control panel under options. All of my settings are set to receive email notifications.

2. I contacted the administrator. He assured me that they have not made any changes but he would look into it. This was about a week ago.

3. I spoke through PM with one other TOTV member who was experiencing similar issues.

Any suggestions?

I have stopped getting them too. And I checked all the options and all the boxes are checked off. I am now watching for the PM messages in the upper right corner. Missed one the other day because I didn't get the email. I'm sure there are others in the same situation.

I'm signed up to get them for PMs and like you, I haven't been getting the e-mail notifications for a few weeks.

I keep logging in to check to see if that cute 'stud muffin bag boy'
at Publix is trying to send me a PM. :icon_wink:

I've been receiving my email notices on PM's ok. One yesterday and another today. I subscribed for a monthly notice on the calendar and received one a couple of weeks ago. I'm also subscribed to a few threads, but opt for a no email notification that simply places an indicator on the thread line to remind me I'm subscribed to it. That seems to be working ok.

I wish I had a clue as why it's not working for others, but unfortunately I don't and obviously I can't play around with your computer to see if I can find a clue. Besides I have enough trouble finding all the idiosyncrasies of my own computer. These browsers can be pretty fickled, especially IE. Someday Microsoft may finally get a browser out that's not full of bugs or controls that are hard to figure out with technical support.

Someone mentioned that this started happening at approximately the same time that all the fonts went red. I know that issue was quickly resolved, but could thse issues be related?

I believe there was another thread on this problem.

I never get them so I just login and check for myself.

I always got them so it is disturbing when they stopped for no apparent reason.

As of 2/09, it's still not working!

Not getting them and sometimes not getting the one on log in either that says I have a PM.

I just check the upper right hand corner to see if I have one these days.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

For me, it's not only PM notifications, it's ANY notifications. According to my inbox I haven't received notifications of posts since January 18th. :shrug:

Also not getting emails (not PMs) from TOTV members who send email through this site. Obviously there is something wrong with the way the program delivers email.

I originally thought perhaps it was at my end (like emails from TOTV might have been going to my spam folder), but with everyone's responses it appears to be on the TOTV end.

Just sent you an email via TOTV.... Let us know if it arrives.

Nope, not yet. See other thread on "mail theft." It's all a conspiracy....
