I am just blown away how President Obama thinks he has the right to tell religious organizations that they must provide birth control including sterilization and morning after pills, and when they object and the heat gets too hot for him to handle, he has the gall to
ORDER private businesses to provide the products and services FREE.
I am still in shock that in this free country people still think he has the right to ORDER me to buy ONLY the type of insurance that HE thinks I should have.
Who the heck does he think he is.

State-controlled is what the Obamacare bill always was, and always will be about. Their goal is to force the insurance companies into insolvency so they can come in as "savior" and "gift" "free" medical care (unlimited of course) to buy the votes using OPM....Other People's Money.

still not able to have a discussion without derogatory, racist, just plain nasty name calling. At some point people who back their man in this manner do nothing more than degrade their own party. Some on this forum have gone well past that point.

I do NOT agree with his policies and actions.
He was elected President, NOT king.
I know liberals cannot agree with this ORDER. If you agree Please type it, read it and then post it ONLY if you really do agree.
I say no person, President, Speaker of the house, congressman, or regulator has any right in America to ORDER a private business to provide goods and services FREE.
Please address that question straight on.

What law gives him that right?
If you do believe that and you can quote me a law that gives him that authority, that will be proof our government, NOT just the president has gone TOO far.
I honestly do not think anyone who wants to live in a free country can believe this Order is legal or proper.

You did not notice it was the left in this thread that was doing the name calling, NOT the right? Show me one post from the Right that was derogatory, racist, or nasty. Both posts of name calling in this post were from the left.
I do not want any name calling. I want you on the left to really think about this ORDER. It is dangerous!

I respect the office and him as President but not policies such as this ORDER.

I am VERY happy about his decision to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Sincerely THANK YOU President Obama for saving the lives of many American soldiers that would have been maimed or ended unnecessarily if we stayed any longer.

I was raised a farm boy in Iowa in a normal republican Iowa family with all the normal prejudices against minorities and anyone different than us. I have mellowed in that some since my military career and travels around the world. But, I am still a conservative and will vote republican in November and just between you and me, will do whatever I can to get the person out of the WH.

the original protesters to this contraception stuff,the catholic bishops,aren't these the same guys that continue to cover up all the child molestation cases.They should really just shut up and clean up the cesspool that the church has become. And isn't this the same organization that takes 2 collections for their charities so that the kids around the world whose parents have been brainwashed that contraception is a sin can have shoes and maybe a book.

Villager II You are exactly right and Obama is getting the respect he deserves for the double dealing artful dodger that he is. You folks brag about the fact that he took bin Laden out because he posed for photos to enhance his presidential campaign. What Obama has done to the Catholic Church is in part their fault for embracing him and his ideas. East Europeans were fooled because their oppressors applied what historians referred to as the saliami tact. They took away a slice of their freedom at a time for of course "the good of the people" and because they would not notice and by the time they did....well ask a lobster what a warm bath in a pot feels like...Oops you can't because they got boiled.

Our only retaliation is in the collection, especially Cardinal's Appeal. Have written to the Cardinal that he needs to publicly announce that the pro-abortion politcians can not receive Holy Communion since they excommunicated themselves. Not to do so brings scandal and disrespect to Christ. But many are afraid of losing tax exempt status.

Then we have Sister Carol Keehan, head of Catholic Hospital's Association. Sister has been a strong backer of Obamacare. I wonder what her parents would have thought. I worked with her mother years ago before she retired to the Tampa, FL area, her father was the Station Postmaster. Sister Keehan used to be cloistered, she should have stayed cloistered.

We can agree on the boner medication point....however most Americans get healthcare from their employers.... And that's the rub. Birth control pills are used for other conditions than contraception. But the Catholic Bishops have a zero tolerance for their use.

Women should have to pay for this medication, as we all do for ours, but the Bishops made the point they should not have to PAY due to their beliefs. If these women work for a Catholic hospital they should have access to healthcare which includes this medication....

The founders started this country with a simple principle...FREEDOM OF RELIGION. You can't change that...you can't impose your religion on me or anyone else. The Catholic Bishops can't force their religious principles on their employee's. That is what they are trying to do.

These drugs are used for things other than contraception however the Catholic bishops have a zero tolerance for there use. With that logic in place then the Church should ban the use of and payment for boner medication for men of a certain age.
