Who the heck does Obama think he is
I am just blown away how President Obama thinks he has the right to tell religious organizations that they must provide birth control including sterilization and morning after pills, and when they object and the heat gets too hot for him to handle, he has the gall to
ORDER private businesses to provide the products and services FREE. I am still in shock that in this free country people still think he has the right to ORDER me to buy ONLY the type of insurance that HE thinks I should have. Who the heck does he think he is. IMPEACH HIM. JJ |

If he has the power to do this, what can't he order private citizens to do?
He does not have this authority. |

He's The President of The United States - ask Osama Bin Laden who he is. We had an election in 2008 and he won. Guess you missed it. Another waste of bandwidth by the reich wingers. |

No way do you believe that. He was elected president. NOT dictator. He does NOT have the authority to do that. JJ |

And more importantly the mindset of this administration ! |

He thinks he is the President of the United States and ya know what?....He is. :icon_wink:

still not able to have a discussion without derogatory, racist, just plain nasty name calling. At some point people who back their man in this manner do nothing more than degrade their own party. Some on this forum have gone well past that point.
Sticks and stones add zero value and reduce credibility. btk |

I agree and did not denegrate him..
I do NOT agree with his policies and actions.
He was elected President, NOT king. I know liberals cannot agree with this ORDER. If you agree Please type it, read it and then post it ONLY if you really do agree. I say no person, President, Speaker of the house, congressman, or regulator has any right in America to ORDER a private business to provide goods and services FREE. Please address that question straight on. Do you think the President of the United States has the power to ORDER a private business to provide goods and services FREE?? What law gives him that right? If you do believe that and you can quote me a law that gives him that authority, that will be proof our government, NOT just the president has gone TOO far. I honestly do not think anyone who wants to live in a free country can believe this Order is legal or proper. Thanks. JJ |

I do not want any name calling. I want you on the left to really think about this ORDER. It is dangerous! I respect the office and him as President but not policies such as this ORDER. I am VERY happy about his decision to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Sincerely THANK YOU President Obama for saving the lives of many American soldiers that would have been maimed or ended unnecessarily if we stayed any longer. JJ |

Thanks for clearing that up. LOL

Amazing how the libs (yes, you too V II) have no problem give omnipotent powers to this President. These are the same people who were whining that GW was overreaching his authority when he was attempting nothing of this magnitude in the private sector.

By the way, I consider you remark about the President (the Kenyan) as slanderous as those you make about others...not necessary and not appreciated. |

the original protesters to this contraception stuff, the catholic bishops, aren't these the same guys that continue to cover up all the child molestation cases. They should really just shut up and clean up the cesspool that the church has become. And isn't this the same organization that takes 2 collections for their charities so that the kids around the world whose parents have been brainwashed that contraception is a sin can have shoes and maybe a book.

Many contraceptives are really abortifactants, ie. they kill the baby. But there is more to this. Why should private organizations be forced to go against their own teachings and laws to provide something that violates their consencious. This action by BHO is dangerous in that it shows how much power he thinks he has and how close we are to dictatorship. I will gladly continue to contribute to worthwhile charities that help the poor around the World. And if anyone in this country thinks they are poor, I tell them look how the really poor of the World are, visit India, Eqypt, Cambodia and more. They won't complain anymore. The poor in these countries are not poor because of overpopulation, they are poor because of their Government's actions in keeping them poor, they need Capitalism. Vietnam is booming because of capitalism, at least in the South. Kyrie Eleison |

Mr. Katz has said for years that the homosexuals purposefully infiltrated the Catholic church... |
Great place to work and not have to explain why they are not married. Celibacy will pervert anyones mind and should be done away with or keep the young boys out of the reach of these priests. No offence, just one mans opinion. :duck:

Another poster made mention that he is president and can do what he wants. Well they are wrong. A President does what the people want. This other poster is also wrong because that is what the russian and German citizens said about Hitler, Stalin, etc . He is our leader and he can do what he wants. What Obama has done to the Catholic Church is in part their fault for embracing him and his ideas. Like so many other organizations and people they knew what he was but still endorse, praise and pampered him only to be betrayed. East Europeans were fooled because their oppressors applied what historians referred to as the saliami tact. They took away a slice of their freedom at a time for of course "the good of the people" and because they would not notice and by the time they did....well ask a lobster what a warm bath in a pot feels like...Oops you can't because they got boiled. To trust Obama is to believe that you can scoop up air and hold it in your hand indefinitely. P.T. Barnum was right.........Obama needs to go |
It is sad that the Catholic church has been fooled in the past. Let's hope that they can draw the line in the sand and stand before it is too late.
If there are more like Rick Santorum in the pews, there may be lots of hope! |

Then we have Sister Carol Keehan, head of Catholic Hospital's Association. Sister has been a strong backer of Obamacare. I wonder what her parents would have thought. I worked with her mother years ago before she retired to the Tampa, FL area, her father was the Station Postmaster. Sister Keehan used to be cloistered, she should have stayed cloistered. |

Does the Catholic Church pay for boner medication? Most likely so....Hypocrites!!!! |
Quote:
The point is the President has no authority to ORDER a private business to provide the medication and service FREE. That is Dictatorship. Women have every right to contraception. If they want to PAY for a health care policy that covers contraception.. that is fine with me. Same thing with Viagra. Now do you understand? JJ |

Women should have to pay for this medication, as we all do for ours, but the Bishops made the point they should not have to PAY due to their beliefs. If these women work for a Catholic hospital they should have access to healthcare which includes this medication.... |

The President doesn't have the authority to do what you want. There are limitations to what the President can force private citizens to do. There is freedom of religion. There is freedom of speech. Thank the founders, and thank God for that. |
Quote:
You can believe what you want to believe and no one can make you do otherwise. You, on the other hand want to force your opinion on the beliefs of others. The founders started this country with a simple principle...FREEDOM OF RELIGION. You can't change that...you can't impose your religion on me or anyone else. The Catholic Bishops can't force their religious principles on their employee's. That is what they are trying to do. These drugs are used for things other than contraception however the Catholic bishops have a zero tolerance for there use. The church has always stated that sex is for procreation NOT recreation....that is why gay relationships are, to use their phrase, imperfect. With that logic in place then the Church should ban the use of and payment for boner medication for men of a certain age. The Republican party is not satisfied with trying to ban abortions and the morning after pill, now they are going after birth control. To coin your phrase it is an all out war on women!!!!!! Guess you think all women should be barefoot and pregnant. |

You think that birth control pills are not used for other medical conditions? Or you think that the Catholic Bishops can force their beliefs on employee's? |
