Game Change movie on HBO
Be sure to mark March 10 on your calendars for the premier of the HBO movie called "Game Change". It is a docu-drama about Sarah Palin and the election of 2008. It has some great cast members like Ed Wood, Woody Harellson, and Julianne Moore.

Watch and you just might learn something you did not know about Sarah. She is egotistical, has her viewpoints (and will not allow any others), and the American voters decided she was a dangerous person to have near the White House.
|
I would be interested in seeing some basis other than personal opinion of:
"...and the American voters decided she was a dangerous person to have near the White House...." It is fine to have an opinion, but a statement like this, for most people, does require validation. btk |

Buggyone...elitist liberals cannot reconcile a woman like Palin because she confuses their belief system concerning liberated women and she doesn't fit neatly into their profile. It should be little surprise to anyone that liberal Hollywood would do all they can to muddy her name . |

really learn
you would learn more by attending the lecture by pamela geller, author of
Atlas Shrugs, on march 1 at village view christian church in summerfield...she is an expert on the agenda of radical islam. tickets are $10. just for the record, i do not hate muslims...i feel they too are afraid of reprisals if they speak out against the radicals...right now, a young pastor is about to be executed in iran for the crime of converting to christianity...look up his story on google..Pastor Youcef....very sad... actually, for those interested in this subject, Dr Bill Warner, also an expert and author, is speaking at this monday's tea party meeting at the American Legion on 466 and Rolling Acres road...6:30..might not be as much fun as making fun of sarah but it will definitely be more informative... |

Personally, I am really looking forward to the HBO movie about Sarah. Just something to pass on from a CNN Poll: Looking ahead to November, the poll indicates that the president's re-election chances are on the rise. In hypothetical matchups among registered voters, Obama holds a 51%-46% margin over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, leads both former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas by the same 52%-45% advantage, and beats former House Speaker Newt Gingrich 55%-42%. |

I would be willing to bet an ice-cold Yeungling against a bar-brand bourbon that uber-conservatives would be giggling with their sophmoric glee and spreading the word if the movie was about Barack Obama. Hmmmm.

A Hollywood movie about Obama would be a fawning, butt-kissing extravaganza of messiah like depictions of his glowing greatness. Hollywood is just another arm of the Democrat Party, and not the brightest of them to boot. |
Saw Game Change last night. It sure did not make Sarah Palin look good. It made her look like someone put into a situation way beyond her depth by people trying to win an election more with theatrics than with any real political strategy.
She also would not listen to the Director to continue the theatrical metaphor and sometimes lied to the press undermining the credibility of the whole campaign. They did make her out to be the best actress in U.S. politics in 2008. From the looks of this movie though a lot of the people who contributed to developing this movie are Republicans. They interviewed a lot of people who were involved in the McCain/Palin campaign, who I assume are Republicans. Some of the actors in this HBO film probably also are Republicans. |
Didn't see it. She is not a deep thinker so what she usually says means little to me.

I thought the HBO movie was outstanding. Sarah Palin was shown to be a poor choice for VP because she knew nothing of world politics. She was in way over her head but was arrogant. She had been chosen as VP candidate too quickly before proper vetting was done. John McCain was portrayed as a very honest man who wanted to run a clean campaign. It was a good portrayal of how behind the scenes politics works.
|
McCain had the chance to say that everything Steve Schmitt said was false - and he didn't. McCain's reply was "I regret Steve made those statements". He did not deny they were all true.
You really don't want to believe the R's picked her for VP without vetting at all. Palin really belongs on a reality show with Paris Hilton and Snooki. |
Is it so hard to believe that someone who's entire experience in politics was the mayor of a town of less than 8,000 people and a year and a half as governor of the easiest state in the union to govern wasn't ready for the national stage?
She's definitely got a 'knack' on the public stage - she has "it" - that impossible to define quality that 'works' on stage. |
Her stage is the sideshow that feeds her coffers.
|
She still seems to like the limelight.
|
After reading the reviews on the movie I can sympathize with Ms Palin. If the movie is true we republicans realy gave her a nasty raw deal.
|
Ok, I finally had a chance to watch it.
To be honest, I think she came off as a human being. She wasn't ready for the national stage - she thought Alaska politics were 'rough'? We all like to think that our life experiences prepare us for the next step - but her 'next step' was a doozy. On matters of foreign policy, *I* knew more than she did - and I didn't need the movie to tell me that. I remember that from the campaign itself. But she *does* have "it". If she'd been prepping for this a year in advance instead of just a few day's notice, I think she would done a lot better. "The world" is an awful lot to absorb in that short amount of time. Granted, since then, she *seems* to have drunk the kool-aid (bi-partisan grape kool-aid) that you NEVER admit a mistake - never show weakness and, when caught making a mistake, double-down on it and insist you were right anyway. |
Ron White is correct - you can't fix stupid ...

But I am sure she is working to get up to your level so be patient |
Well I wonder how many of my open-minded liberal friends will entertain watcthing REELZ "Undefeated" tonight? (sunday 8-10:30 3/11)
Good ole Woody was thrilled it was given an opportunity to be involved in the HBO project even though as he explained I am not a democrat, actually more of an anarchist. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. The fact remains that absent a liberal media bias, including the entertainment world a good story could have been written about Obama's radical past starting with the radical Jews he associated with early on who were intent to bring down Israel. Palin IMHO has potential and was selected prematurely but with the proper mentoring she could have been a positive contributor to our political process. However, her views scared the bejesus out of liberals and confused them, especially liberal females because she not only talked the talk but she walked the walk. However a rosie or Behar will never give her any credit. |
