Good game today. 28-14, Jets. Still, I wonder why Brady seemed to forget about Welker. He kept going downfield to Moss. I thought Brady to Welker would be the Jets biggest problem. Maybe Brady thought with Revis out the long ball to Moss would be easy points. Who knows.
I'm happy with the outcome though.

Jets did a nice job. Hats off! "My" Patriots are alot like my golf game, never quite sure who will show up

brostholder 09-20-2010 08:21 AM

Jets are 3-1 against Pats in their last 4 games. I don't think many teams can say that!

zcaveman 09-20-2010 11:32 AM

Congrats to the Jets!! Wish I could have seen the game.

wmchale 09-20-2010 12:32 PM

All that counts is who wins the last game of the season!!!

aljetmet 09-20-2010 12:49 PM

Jets

What a difference a week makes....
Both offensively and defensively lot's of changes in the game plans.
LT is going to be a force to deal with.
Now for a fish fry!

ajbrown 12-06-2010 06:42 PM

Good luck tonight!

This is a huge game for both teams :eclipsee_gold_cup:, my prediction is . IMO, it is too close to call. I sure hope you Jets fans stay warm and have fun watching the game tonight, but I sure hope the home team beats the :censored: out of your team......

Hope everyone enjoys the early "superbowl" tonite. I'm a Patriots & Brady fan but I gotta admit the Jets are a good team. If the Patriots win, the rest of the season is going to be real interesting...

chuckinca 12-06-2010 07:26 PM

Here's hoping they beat the beejeezes out of each other so that Da Bears will have easier games.

.

eyegirl 12-06-2010 09:20 PM

bears

I wouldn't count on it...they probably have a better chance against the Jets and Patriots then they would against the Giants again! Cutler is still seeing BLUE in the night!!!:icon_wink:

nkrifats 12-06-2010 09:24 PM

I am a Jets Fan but in this first Quarter it sure looks like the first string of the Jets stayed in NY. Could be a long night for us Jets Fan.

chuckinca 12-06-2010 10:48 PM

First Half to The Pats 24 - 3

PATRIOTS 45 JETSSS 3

WOOOOOO HOOO!

nkrifats 12-07-2010 07:54 AM

Jet's must have stayed home last night. Tough loss

ajbrown 12-07-2010 08:07 AM

Not sure anyone could have predicted that outcome. It was just one of those nights. I have been on both sides of those type games, it is definitely better on top :beer3:.

Now, I hope NE does not spend too much time reading their own press and gets back to work for the job ahead.

Mudder 12-07-2010 09:51 AM

The Pats gave a clinic last night! B:cold:rilliant !!!!

2BNTV 12-07-2010 10:00 AM

WOW - what a beating. It still only one game and only counts as one loss.

The Jets need to figure out how things were so out of whack and need to right the ship.

soonfl 12-07-2010 10:09 AM

And thats why they are the jets

I love them but they break my heart

Russ_Boston 12-07-2010 10:27 AM

Jets still own tiebreaker on the Pats (by something like the 5th tie-breaker) so we, yes I said we, need to keep that 1 game lead.

Season ticket holder for 16 years at Foxboro!

2newyorkers 12-07-2010 11:45 AM

Ugh! This is why it hurts to be a Jets fan!

C'mon Russ, The Pats have the ultimate tiebreaker, they have the better record.:grumpy:chilout:(
This better not be another 1986, well the JETS were 10-1 and lost 4 of 5.
Now we can also talk about the 1986 METS:BigApplause::clap2::boom:

Duh!

That's why I said they need to keep their one game lead. What part of that is wrong?

2BNTV 12-07-2010 01:48 PM

Being a New Yorker, Giants fan. I still don't want to hear on sports radio, the same old refrain of "same old JETS".

I didn't have time to listen this morning but my guess is the Jet fans are ranting and raving about how bad they were beaten.

It's not a happy day for Jet fans.

I stopped reading your entire post...

Russ_Boston 12-07-2010 02:56 PM

Kind of like the jets defense after the first quarter! :)

Mudder 12-07-2010 03:27 PM

A relative of ours has the parking concession in Foxboro, they sold a ton of hand warmers last night !!! Everyone stayed til the bitter end.

gongoozler 12-08-2010 03:09 PM

The Patriots have some real problems ahead of them . . they have 53 players on the team (counting their practice squad) . . . they have 9 on IR, including their best running back (Faulk), a #1 pick and best DE (Ty Warren), their newly $12 million signed and best CB (Bodden), their best safety (Barrett), their league leading field goal kicker and two starting offensive linemen (Neal and Kazor). When these 9 players come back next year and they have 2 number one draft picks, two number two draft picks, and two number 3 draft picks . . . what is the team going to do with all these players? Oh, what a problem to have!

I agree!

First of all, let me start by saying that I am a Pats fan, and have been one since the beginning in 1960 when I was 10, and have been a fan of the Sox, Celts and Bruins before then. So you could say that I've hated N.Y. teams forever, like you N.Y. fans probably can't stand us, and that's the way it should be. With that being said, did any of you Jets fans see Santonio Holmes giving the first down signal and then shaking his head "no" to one of the Pats defenders saying something that looked like "you can't defend me"? Normally, this would be amusing, but his team was down by 4 TD's! This guy hasn't got a clue about team, it's all about him.

I have wondered why a lot of players do something like that. I could see it if the player is trying to fire up his team if they have been playing poorly up to that point.

I agree that it is self indulgent and is saying, "look at me, I am great".

As a Yankee fan, I don't hate Red-Sox fans as I always look forward to their rivalry. It's alway a battle, marathon. and very exciting to watch.

laryb 12-08-2010 05:45 PM

I don't hate NY fans, it's the teams I can't stand. My oldest son is a Yankee fan (:censored:) and I love him (except when their playing each other).

bandsdavis 12-09-2010 09:17 AM

I'm with ya, laryb. I'm a New Englander by birth and my kids were born in NH and raised just north of Boston. They both now live in NYC and are very happy there, especially after they discovered that there are a lot of Red Sox themed bars where they can hang out with like-minded fans! Gave my son a bumper sticker a couple years ago that he has on a wall in his apt. It says "I Love New York.... It's The Yankees I hate!"

I love it! Gonna git me one of those bumpa sticka's!:BigApplause: With any luck I'll be down there by the 2011 World Series and be able to invite you over to watch our Sox win it all..... especially now that they signed Carl Crawford last night!!!:a040::a040::a040: (my way of saying "and the crowd goes wild!") Unfortunately, I won't be there for the Super Bowl, or I'd invite you over to watch the Pats!

bandsdavis 12-09-2010 10:52 AM

Unfortunately, we're not in TV yet either. Still trying to sell the house in VA (been here the last 7 years for work). But as soon as we are, I'll bet we can put some great party's together with all the Sox and Pats fans already there! Looks like 2011 could be another 2004 and 2007 with both of them winning the big nut!
